So I was just kicking some serious but on woor.de's ctf public server.. playing on ctf_Ash

Now we all know what Ash is like.. if you kill more than one person whilst passing through the other base that immediately adds up to a spawning accusation. Silly though right? Ash is a small map, you can't really avoid going through the bases unless you're boring and always go over the top.

Anyway, so I was going for the flag, passing through the other teams base... and I see two afk players in their spawn possitions on the upper ledge in the base.

Now I'm pretty sure anybody would have done the same as I did... I pulled out my knife, flew up there on my jets thinking oh I'll just kill these two with the knife.. so I stab one dead and then another spawns next to me as I'm about to kill the other.. so I end up killing three.. Then a millisecond later, 5 more people spawn in the base.. So I frantically try to escape toward the flag.. as I'm leaving I throw 2 nades down to stop the newly spawned enemies from trying to follow me, and then I throw my knife at somone spraying at me as I try to leave the base.. The knife kills him and 2 more of them run onto my grenades whilst I get killed by another who just spawned.. So I end up getting "Serial kill"

And of course naturally.. within 3 seconds I had about 3 people calling me a spawner and very promptly a kickvote box appeared and before I could even type a word in my defence I was booted out by an overwhelming majority.

Just thought I'd mention it.

You did nothing wrong, in fact you should be proud. To me, spawn camping is bad, not spawn killing.

Well it would have been just 2 afk players... until about 7 more spawned all around me... Then I had to go a little bit berserk with grenades and the knife

Spawning is an imporotant part of cw. If your team mate grabs the flag and has like 5 hp, you need to stop the other team from chasing him. This could also get you another cap because u can wait on the flag area.

1) There are appropriate measures to take against spawncampers and people need to learn them.
2) Ash is designed for spawnkilling, with its spawnpoints placed so far forward from the flags. Any serious CTF team knows that controlling the spawns is priority #1 on arrival in the enemy base.

I will only justify Spwning when you're the FC and the situation leaves you with no other choice but to fight for your existence and successful cap for your team.

And by the way, isn't spawning the action of "rebirth" in your base?
Because when you say: "You spawner" that sounds like if the guy made 100 rebirths in his base.
I think the action should be called Spwn

People are at an advantage when they spawn, they are invincible for long enough to kill you or get out of the way. I don't see what's wrong with it.

Alright well he obviously didn't spawn but did get called a spawner for pwning them all. Here's what's wrong with spawning: Having 1 sawer and 2 m79ers on 2-4 people trying to spawn and get out... impossible

Oh and if you still don't get it here's 2 screens of me spawning everyone. Not fun is it?

Um.. it's their fault they got pwnt, not yours. It is not hard to avoid being spawned. If someone successfully spawns me, I'm not pissed off, I'm embarrassed that they didn't get a knife in their face.

I hate ash, seriously. I dont know why its so popular. it just turns into a spawnkilling game of which team can spawnkill the other more effectively trying to reach the flag.

the invincibility is overshadowed by the amount of time it takes for your weapons to charge.

also, neither spawnkilling or camping is wrong. they are both viable tactics that equalize each other, like yin and yang. you spawn camp to prevent others from reaching yours, and you reach spawns in order to prevent spawn campers. they are both viable tactics and anyone that complains about them needs to get a pair.

viceroy why the f*ck would you post that picture. And invincibility is enough for you to get away from the spawn killer. He probably won't chase you, because you're one person and he could be killing three of your teammates in the time it would take to chase you down.
