Yes, the game should be available for Linux once it is finished.  I suspect any open betas and stuff will be for Linux and Mac as well.

If you're interested in the game or any of the other stuff you see on http://mm.soldat.pl, check there often.  He usually posts once every 2-3 days, but often he'll post more than that.

This sounds pretty awesome of course. I got to say I will carefully keep my optimism at bay because Crimson Glory already was so promising, but I'm unsure how the pre-alpha we were shown could have grown to become a great game. Still I'm full of hope that Michal will make this be a very shiny gem of 2D gaming. I guess development will still take a long while, but it's already great how we can follow the game's development via the blog :)

The work he did on CG had a lot to do with the ideas he has had for this game and the progress he has made so far.  A lot of the code from CG is being re-used in this game.

Would you rather he finished CG and came out with a game he wasn't really happy with, that was hard to mod, and that he had a hard time convincing himself to keep working on, or would you prefer a game that he loves, can't wait to always work on, and can't get enough of?

Don't get me wrong, I think it was great that he noticed Crimson Glory is not the game he actually wants to make and therefore "just" decided to stop the development on it. And of course I hope link-dead gets all the time and polish it needs and deserves to really shine, no matter how long that is :)

They've said, it will be out when it's ready. I personally don't think it'll be released until 2009... [can't wait!]
Will be in Link-dead a singleplayer option? (missions, tutorial, story/plot outline or just possibilities to make a single-player missions on your own?)

I would be happy even if MM just gave the community some kind of editor so we can do it ourselves.

So it will be like a 2d multiplayer half-life?

The concept sounds a hell of a lot like Too Human, including the Norse gods and vikings.

Sounds pretty cool, finally people can stop crying about wanting classes in Soldat.

No, this is not Soldat news and MM said that all of his non-soldat news is now going to be posted on his blog.  The "MM's other games" forum isn't going to be changed because link-dead is going to have its own forums in the near future.  Until then, all conversation about it can take place on MM's blog and in this thread

What are the requirements gonna look like, generally, because my computer sucks.
And, what if the game replaces Soldat, or soldat is superior, either is probably gonna happen after awhile; people will start to stop playing one or the other.

He said it's gonna be a more slower-paced, tactical game. Hopefully, it'll attract two different branches of people, as opposed to one being ultimately better than the other.
