House Centipede(s)

I have had these little devils in my basement for about a year or two now and while I am by no means squeamish or skiddish I really don't like imaging one crawling on my foot while I type.  They are supposedly good because they hunt Cockroaches, and other stuff of that nature...  I just really don't like the idea of one crawling on me  by accident.  Also, they are supposedly VERY common in most older houses.

Anyone ever had some of these things?

These show up in my house all the time, usually in the sink. One time I was watching TV at like 2AM and I didn't have any lights on. And from the light of the TV I see something haul ass across the floor at like 45mph.. It was so fucking creepy. I turned on the lights and saw one of these bastards scurry away like lightning. They're fast.

That is the reason they come to my basement, to escape the harsh New Jersey winter.

If you don't have any sisters or whatever, you should get a lizard or a snake.  I think that would be the best course of action without resorting to chemicals

OH MY GOD. Destroy them before they multiply! Lol those are NASTY looking bugs. I had sort of the same looking bugs in my house. i live in canada so i dont know if we have the one you pictured. they really are scary so i had [Snip!] service remove them at once!!
