Oral hygiene questions.
« on: September 22, 2007, 09:35:14 pm »
I was wondering how often i should use mouth wash... also i have this huge hole in my top left adult tooth right before the back wisdom teeth. inside the hole there is an exposed nerve. I am going to have a root canal soon and i was wondering how bad it will hurt. Also how to I stop exposed nerves from hurting for a while?

my bro had it and it hurt so bad that he had to only eat pudding and get a big a** needle injected in the middle of his head to make it stop hurting.

you don't need to use mouth wash to clean your teeth, in fact, using listerine isn't that good, it dries out your mouth and if you sleep with a dry mouth bad breath bacteria grows in your mouth and you can get morning breath.

Everything hurts a hell of a lot. they use an auger instead of a drill.

Buy a lot of novicane if you don't want to feel the hurts.

If the nerve is exposed, I have no doubts that
a) It will hurt like a bitch to get it fixed
b) You really need better brushing habits.

I usually never use mouthwash, I always Brush.  I floss once in a blue moon, if I feel like it.

Holy lord, even I don't put off brushing my teeth that long... I got my wisdom teeth removed too, and I'm quite the procrastinator for hygiene... but ****, man.

I just can't seem to make a habit of it... and starting brushing my teeth won't do me any good now.

It must be a real bitch to keep brushing.

What's weird is my teeth are still pretty white.

So back on topic... how much does it hurt to get a root canal? And how much does it cost?

unless your diet consists of wheat and water you need to brush your teeth.

I think brushing my teeth while having an exposed nerve will hurt. *excuses*

also i usually pick that hole in my tooth out with a safety pin. which doesn't hurt.

and I'd rather just have them rip that tooth out.. but it is my good eating tooth. Also an adult tooth.

This thread has caused me to be overcome with laughter.

Seriously, take some pain pills or ask them to give you laughing gas.

And brush your fucking teeth.

I only brush once a day and I have never gotten a cavity. But other people brush 2 times a day and still get cavitys and stuff. So I think its different for everybody.
