Request server HELP

Ive got a big problem . These last days i am working on my first server . But i think i made a mistake because wenever i click "Request Server" in the game it does nothing ! I don't know what i do wrong plz help me .

I added some ports for my server but i just tryed it without the ports . No difference . If the internet is not connected ? Where can i fix it than ?

This may be a temporary issue based on some changes I have made to the lobby.  In theory nobody should be able to tell, but I can think of a few ways that ISPs can break stuff which could cause problems for you.

Go to start->run->cmd and type "ping rr.soldat.pl" and paste the output here.

Do that again with "ping defaultlobby.soldat.pl"

Is there any way in which i can make it work without going to the uni?

Show me what you have in your Soldatf folder and then in the file "lobby_servers.txt"

Also try the things I had him do in this thread.  Tell me what happens for each of them.  There is a good chance that your uni blocks traffic on "strange" ports.  Doing what I had him do will tell for sure whether they are blocking it or not.

Also i know this might sound dumb of me but i have Vista and so i cant find "run" with it, although im pretty sure your right about my uni blocking traffic on "strange" ports because when i tried to play poker on facebook i would get an error saying "your firewall may be blocking access to port 9339" :S

Then i tried that Telnet test and it said windows cannot find it!
Hoping you can find a way for me!

Cannot display the webpage.

Then i clicked on "diagnose conection problema" and it said "cannot communicate with rr.soldat.pl (67.106.77.184)"
Network diagnstics pinged the remote host but did not receive a response.

then it gives the option to reset the network adapter "local area connection" although i dont think this makes a difference.

Your University probably blocks the port itself. If you have to use a proxy, then it might be the cause. Not much you can do, except maybe kick up a fuss. :S.

you're probably not doing it right, or there is another firewall that is not on your computer, but somewhere else between you and the lobby server.  Are you at a college/university or something?
