I would love it if it was like that again. I don't really mind the current usage of asterisks, but I'd prefer the CENSORED image. Like a blast from the past kinda thing.

Hmm... I don't know, Graham, I think it looks quite good. I'm pretty satisfied with the current "***" way of cencoring, but I would definitely love to see that smiley one of the default ones anyway. Actually, remove the freaking ugly smiley with the sunglasses and put that one ine in it's place,

Which is why my idea is so brilliant. If you don't like it, it's not like you have to use it. Keep the current swearingfilter thing, and just go with it as any other emotion. You americans will never be able to agree on anything anyway..

Haha, I love the old censored smileys... they made every post look so colorful and fun to read everytime.

But that random words idea is awesome! Why not give it a testing week or just for fun for a week?
