If Barrett had a laser, I would agree with the idea - the monitor might become red when the laser is on you.
But since there is no laser in Soldat, just a sniper LINE, I don't agree.
Plus, sniper lines are disabled on most servers :P

I don't think it would help at all.  The barrett shot is so fast that you wouldn't even have time to react.  I could only imagine how many times that alarm would be going off in an 8 on 8 Snipe & Slice match ;)  (shameless self promotion, I know).

Simply change the snipe-delay sound to an alarm. Simple.

You call that spamming? My, you need to refresh yourself on internet terminology, son. Besides, i dont need to add a reason backing my opinion when it has already been expressed by various users in the thread.

Save your breath kiddo. I dont take orders from my peers.

It would be useless, you would be dead anyway before you could react

I think KorrupT MerC right... the snipers already balanced... so if u put that idea in the game, the sniper rifle would be useless in the primary weapons..

I Guess  this idea not going to work...

The last thing we need is a standard laser sight visible to everyone for the Barrett. Honestly, if you're so concerned about it, mod the in-game rifle to have it's own "sniper line" so you can see if you're being aimed at.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

I am not so concerned about it. I just thought I'd be a cool idea to bring up. Obviously I was mistaking.. Hell, most the idea brought up in here are doomed before the author even thinks about them.  :P

Agreed to the fact that the sniper has a scope instead of a laser. And it would make the gameplay a bit more complicated and messy. Even with a laser, you won't be running around looking down to your chest, waiting for a red dot to appear.

"Hey Michael! There's a red dot on your back!"
"LoL where?"
"Right the-"
BOOM
"Mikey..?"

There's really no point for this.  Waste of coding time and serves little purpose and will affect game-play.  No support.

if you mean, when someone uses the sniper line option which makes it easier for them to play, then yes id like to see this so they dont have an unfair advantage over people who dont like using the sniper line (besides the sniper line doesnt take into account the curve of a bullets path).
if the sniper lines ment to be a laser sight or similar device then yeah this should happen

it would be funny to watch people do the "sniper dance" like in halo but it would totaly nullify the retta (with i happen to own at and would hate to see it go)
