I wanted a more unique name. Probably not something really weird, but just not so common. Last year at my collage, there was at least one other guy who had the same first AND family name as me.

In what way is it James 'in English'? I thought names don't cross languages, as you are Dimitar whatever language you speak. You don't get Someone called Abdul Osama-Ahmadi suddenly being called 'Charles Tommy-Smith' when they speak English. $:-\$

In the same way Johannes is John in english, although I don't see the connection between Dimitar and James.
