edit: yes, i know that forward does not equal up. forward does, in this case, equal airflow. airflow equals up, eventually.

It doesn't matter if the engines are going or not, if its on a treadmill that is going the same speed or faster it will not go forward. So no lift can be created. However if the treadmill was slower then the plane or not moving at all it would go forward and then generate lift.

This is one of those time where you have to think
"Can it really be that everyone in the world is wrong, but I am right? Or is it the other way around?"

THE TREADMILL WOULD ONLY MAKE THE WHEELS SPIN TWICE AS FAST, and the movement of the wheels doesn't affect the airplane's movement at all

edit: god damn, 5 lounge posters are "everyone in the world"?

If the wheels cannot grip and push off on anything they cannot move. Last time I checked planes used wheels to move on the ground. Also using big red fonts and image macros just makes you look retarded.

the plane is on a treadmil, it doesn't have a net speed, it does not have lift.

why doesn't the plane have a net speed? it accelerates thanks to the engine "pushing" it forwards. airplanes use wheels only to lessen friction when moving on ground so they don't need as much power to move.

I can tell you they don't take off in high current.

Your video don't not give any support, because speed on the "treadmill" is not factored in.

well they're belts put on spinning bits (wheels, etc.), they're used in factories to convey things and also they're used in tanks because they distribute weight more effectively than wheels

now tell me some of the things you know about airplane wheels

What the hell did that video prove? I'll tell you, nothing.

an airplane has to be moving forward to generate its own lift, a conveyor belt would keep the plane from moving forward and you lose so shut up.

The water is not going the same speed the plane would when the propeller is going... so of course it would lift...

you could only take off if you go fast enough on the water.
