should i buy windows Vista?

I was thinking about getting vista for my computer because my cousin said it was good and easy to use while my classmates said that vista sucks and i should wait a couple of years before i buy it because its    right now. So yeah im confused weather i should upgrade to vista or to stay on xp for a coupe of years.

Vista isn't bad at all. I have it now. The problem is that you need a good computer so make sure you have one. What I've noticed is that it runs faster, especially the boot time compared to XP. The annoying part is getting used to all the menus and all the popups(Just make sure you disable them). If a program crashes you have the option to search for a solution and most of the time it works. Only bad thing is that some programs might not work.

After a while just like with XP when it first came you get the hang of everything and it's lovely.

I suggest you don't because XP is still the best OS out there.

Vista has much heavier system requirements too, because Microsoft thought they'd appeal more to people who'd rather have an operating system that looks pretty rather than functions properly.

Wait a few years, XP won't become obsolete for another 5 years at least. It's just that good.

What you could do of course is go into a PC store and ask them if they can give you a Vista demonstration so you can see first hand how it feels to use.

As far as I know.. It's as bad as Mac OS X

Stick with XP as long as you can. Only "upgrade" when you get a new computer that comes with it pre-installed.

Don't get me wrong, once Vista is out of beta testing it will be nice, but until then...

I really don't see anything wrong with it..I just got a new comp about 2 weeks ago, and it came with Windows Vista Home Edition. I haven't really noticed anything, maybe it's because it is a new comp...Don't know.

Well anyways I think you should just stick to XP because alot of games still use XP and is probably costs less than Vista.
