Good, bullets are like 10 times too dark and gosteks are a bit dark. Also the ingame weapons are too light compared to the interface. But i love the packs and interface.

- What am I supposed to do when all the weapons are black...but I am going to try and give them a shine like Shivorken told me too.
- I'll shorten it.
- A remake of the Bauer pistols is/was on my list after Dairy's post.

- I must agree that the explosions do look awesome ;D
- I was going for a simple design but I'll see what I can do.

Good, bullets are like 10 times too dark and gosteks are a bit dark. Also the in game weapons are too light compared to the interface. But i love the packs and interface.

The bullets have a light and dark part so they should be visible on most maps. The reason they might be hard to see is that they're only 1px in height. As for the gosteks a remake on them would me tons of work. First I'd have to make them darker and after that I'd have to make the blood darker. I made the in game weapons lighter because I want them to be easier to see. You like the packs and  Skykanden doesn't. :P


Now that I'm finally done all the parts of the mod except the sounds it leaves lots of time for improving the gfx. I do have some sounds recorded but I won't be able to get so many in the beta as it's hard to get good quality of them. I will have to wait until the fullversion comes. That leaves me to improving stuff.

To do list:
Bauer Pistol/Pistols - full remake
Shotgun - fixes
TAC Launcher - maybe
Packs - maybe
XM214 - to be shortened

The pistols will have a full makeover.
As for the law sticking out. There's not much I can do about it as the game handles the back.bmp poor. I could make it smaller but I think it's fine if you're not too picky.

Haha. It wasn't ment to balanced. I wanted slaughter(more of a realistic style) and all the guns deliver that. Fast bullet speed and kills in just a few shots. Though I made it fast just before I uploaded the beta :D

I do have some sfx(vestkit, predator, berserker, #1, #2, #3, #4, LAW, Pistol) but I didn't want to release it without the rest. Though It would've been smart to include the powerups sounds(they're awesome).

That's one of the problems. Crysis use a simple HUD and I wanted to make the packs similar.

Ah yes .yes.
Technically I could record them. BUT it's hard. First I have to get the gun(some of them require lots of stuff before I can get them), then not get killed and lastly go to a place where there is no background noise(damned jungle sounds and the Voice when something has changed on the battlefield.)

The best thing is to just wait until I get the full version and can record them without problems.

I won't be able to give you any updates probably until Friday next week as I'm not at home right now.

I will also change all of the bullets to .png and use alpha on them.

It's a secret for now ::)

My explosions are made in photoshop with layers. I kept the same image size as the original. This restriction made the explosions smaller because they use a glow/transparency effect. This led it to more frames that had to be transparent at the end unlike the original ones because they kinda grew fast. (At first the explosions are meant to expand/grow and afterwards they're suppose to give some effects as if the explosion grew sideways).

I'll have to look at them when I get back.

This is verry nice, but when comes the new version? The Crysis demo is out on gamershell.com and more sites.
And you can now make the sounds right? And people, Crysis the real game is soooooooooooo nice .... DAMN

I know, I'm new, but I've been making a Crysis interface (registered).

anyway, regarding the sound, open up the sounds.pak file with Winzip so you can get the raw Maximum Strength, Speed, this that or the other sounds.

as for weapons, in the Demo, with SandBox 2, you can play the individual weapons sounds.  Then you can record them, however it seems some sounds may not be there, so don't be surprised if you cant get the sound for the minigun for example.

as for the mod so far, it looks really nice.  look forward to seeing the result. ;)

one other thing though, set the weapon's capacity to just their magazine size, because the whole 41 rounds, or 31 rounds, the 1 is only because they include the bullet still in the chamber.  If you empty out all your bullets and reload, then you'll get the regular 30 or 40 rounds.  also, make the weapons less powerful.  after all, everyone is wearing a nanosuit...

may i suggest, that berserker is Maximum strength, and the icon be a fist, like in the game.  predator should be Cloak Engaged, with the cloak icon, and vest should be maximum armour, with the shield icon, like in the game.

Also, if you want, I can make the interface for this mod.  only if you want.

Hm I did not know that the music.pak had the voice sounds. I did read that you could un zipp the music files though. But if the weapon sounds can be extracted too then it's pointless to record them after all the game comes the 16th Nov and there was some sort of sound "bug" when recording very loud sounds(made them sound all fucked up). I have allready used the nanovoice for those pickups and I used the icons you mentioned :P. There should be an attachment at the second page.

Anyhow I'll check the demo's folder for sounds. I was going to record several the up coming week but I'll just wait for the full game.

You're right about the ammo thing. I used those numbers because the first thing I did was to reload to get that bullet when I got a weapon in the MP beta ::)
As for the weapons.ini I will change it.

I do already have a registered interface but if you want I can take yours too. The more the better :)
