would it be too hard to make an applet for the logitech G15 keyboard users that tells your ammo amount and so on. if sm1 did this there would be no need for the hud. unfourtunatly i only know so much as far a C++ goes and i know you need to know C for the hardware settings. just a thought to look into. might make G15 users really happy. ^^;

well it would have to import the data from soldat.exe, but im not sure if this is easily done. maybe ask enesce since he made the flashbang demo

Soldat does not have any plugin capabilities, so nobody would be able to code this support except for MM himself, and I can tell you that isn't likely to happen.

Dont be so sure about that FLAB, I did have a plugin program working for Soldat... hence how the Flashbang plugin was made.

But yeah, I already have made one that shows your ammo and health since I am a G15 user... but I thought no one else used one for Soldat so I didnt bother making it release-worthy... Maybe I will release the one I made.

Since MM isn't going to do it I would say that the idea is as good as impossible.

Why would you want to look all the way down to the keyboard to see your ammo anyway?

its personal preference really. i do it with Unreal Tournament 2004. tho...the only thing they support for UT2k4 is ammo stats *tear* so i cant really take the complete hud away.

Please read all of the replies to a thread before posting your own reply, EnEsCe already said that such a plugin is possible. Doing anything otherwise degrades the quality of the forums.

Yes it is possible.. but you need to scan the memory and get the ammo/health/jet value directly from there. Sounds like "hacking" but I guess this is the only way.

I guess this'd be a perfect instance of "hacking" in a good way, except this is the exact kind of application that might be likely to crash soldat. I suppose enesce knows more about it than I do

well, enesce doesn't code the soldat client and he doesn't know all the protections that MM might have added so i'd say making a memory scan will make soldat pretty unstable. i remember the flashbang plugin giving access violation error to lots of people.

I wouldnt want ammo and life on my g15 display because its directyly on my screen

but kills, deaths, ping, k:d would be nice to see

I dont know how to get these data from soldat. I mean they r available on the internet so accessing the memory is not necessary i think.
Plz say me cos i want to try myself to program a plugin :>

why are you all ranting over "talking to the exe file" and reading memmory?

why not use the logs?
