That list pretty much covers it, with Soldat veterans being on the top postumusly.

I'd just throw in HS ( HawtSex, which was one of the strongest clans a few SCTFL's ago ), ~ES~ ( which was undoubtably the best soldat clan ever in terms of raw power, as it was a unification of HS and EF's best players ), X'fect ( a very strong clan, sort of like a predecessor of ES with different players whom now make up most of AE/EF ), Asy ( the last powerhouse clan, some ex x'fecters / ES'ers ), and currently Invictus ( which is pretty much a pumped up Asy ).

Oxid had it's prime time when Kaimelar and Tyler was in, with people like alper ( now EF ), Clawbug ( now _A_ ) and Own3d ( doesn't play anymore ). They could match the best clans, but they were never respected: at version 1.3.1 the clan housed many hackers ( their leader being busted with aimbot in a cup match ), they were not very chivalrious with fair play ( spray, match voids, rule-abusing ), and most of them had horrible English. Once the two hungarians left, the clan started to decay and now is only a remnant of its former self.

Oh, let's not forget about cake and sodomy: this clan used to be cool, hosting a private server at 1.2/1.2.1, providing challanging and fun games before gather was born. It was lead by Urhos, later Meandor, with lots of good and respectable players ( knot, Instant Remedy, deejii, Hercule Poirot, etc ). It died and revived as -iD- more times than one, and they definitely deserve a spot in that imaginary hall of fame.

Well, Theres a competition that ASF (aus soldat forums) run each 6 months. Its like the logies but Its called the silkies and members of the asf community vote on respective clans.
Theres also A part where clans are voted into the hall of fame.

It is Sex Machines. I really don't think they are a RESPECTED clan. (?)

~/SM\~ was xurich's old clan that he was in.

It died around the time of SNAT (Soldat North American Tournament) that was hosted by fracs.net

SM was generally regarded as the top NA clan for a long time.

What password? Well, I guess Demonic won't tell the story behind Soldat Veterans.

There are a lot of great clans with skilled players but the ones I truly respect are the clans which are not only skilled but also play fair and aren't full of people who insult others, have used hacks, whine or have done something lame in general (multiclanning for example). Clans like that are rare but they exist, and those are the clans which I really respect.

Here's the history of sv|. After dying and staying dead for a long time, it was revived for a short period by returning players like Rune, Avskum and Donnie Darko. antiCamper ( now Alexio ) took the oppurtunity and made the sv| movie at this time, and they really held their ground nicely versus the time's top clans once again. They disbanded a short time later, with some of them founding a new powerhouse clan ( Myth ), others leaving for good, and Suomip keeping the clan tag and claiming the status of the 'Longest living one man clan', reigning on #soldat.gather.
