For me, I respect ( in no particular order)

Thats it for NA, as most of the longer standing clans have died, and most of the new clans I dont really respect as a clan, I respect the players, just not the clan, considering most will prob die sooner or later, most likely sooner.

Thats really about it. All of the old clans that I respected have died cause of last sctfl.
I rarely play realistic so I dont know/care about any of the clans there.  Im also not a fan of euro soldat (with the exception of a few euros), because they come off as entirely too cocky and whine so much, and are generally assholes. Most of them will not play you unless you play in a euro server, which pisses me off. Whine about ping constantly, leave during the match, or after the first map and are generally demanding. *cough*OXid*cough* (I was in Oxid so its not jealousy or I got owned by them. Just a fresh example from earlier today/yesterday.)

I may be a bit biased on the deth/oc respect because I am in deth, but I have always respected both clans, long before I joined. They have been around for AGES, been in sctfl playoffs (im pretty sure), have produced some great players, and are generally great people.

Well Mr. Eye-Of-Terror dude, the list on the first post are gathered from all individual opinions rather than a collected vote. You could basically say any clan and it will be on the list. So whoever is updating the list is doing something basically pointless, but if this person feels like he/she obligated to do so, then let him/her be.

That was over 2 years ago Demonic, and Im pretty sure that was the first time I ever played on a euro server. And yes, shit has changed for me since then. The entire time that I have been back to soldat, I have been playing in euro servers to cater the euro clans. I dont say a single word in the entire CW. I dont bitch about anything ever. Even when shit doesnt register, or they warp all over the place, or when shots miss me but still kill me. But the euros (but like I said before, not all of them, just the majority) STILL whine, hit, laggers, warpers, ect.. EVEN when I play on thier servers. You cant make them happy. Either they whine and cry about ping and lag on an NA server, or they whine that you lag on euro servers. There are execptions, and I respect the people and the clans that dont cry about ping, whether I play on thier EU server, or they play on NA servers. But since In and EF have died, there are only 2 that I have played that havent whined. And the majority of clans that I play are Euro clans.

An Example:

Yesterday, we got a clanwar with Oxid, and the SECOND they joined(execpt one guy, who was cool the entire time), they cried and whined about ping and DEMANDED we play on thier server, and when we declined, they cried and whined some more. THEN we set them all to one team and then they CRIED about being on the "bad" team. Wtf? So then we started, I had ONE lag start, and they were like OMFG and all left.

Another Example:

PaK. We played them on our server, and they did nothing but cry and whine the entire first map. 2 min into the second map we cap, and they all cry about lag and leave.

A third Example:

Fishes, we play on thier selfkill server (which I was getting 250 ping, one member was getting close to 200, and one member had just fine ping, he was euro), they bitched and cried that I was a lagger, and I warped, then I suggested we play on our server, and they said no, so we continued. Halfway through the first map they kicked all of us. 


All 3 of those examples were clans that were in sctfl playoffs last sctfl, and that I have played since I rejoined Deth. Plenty of times we ask a euro clan for a cw, and if we are NA, or want to play on an NA server, they decline. "We dont wanna play lagger Americans" . Now you tell me, why I should respect euro clans? And its been like that since I was in Oxid.

Its not a generalization, its what I have observed through first hand experience. The majority of euros that I have played with/against fit into my reasoning. But not all of them, like I have stated before, but there are PLENTY more euros that fit into that reasoning, than that dont.

Oh, Im not saying that NA doesnt whine, cause NA does too, I was simply explaining why I have very few euro clans on my respected list.

And yes, everyone whines, but I dont respect the clans that leave in the middle of a cw if they dont get thier way, or wont play you cause your american and lag. Or will 100% refuse to play on an NA server.

But this is my personal opinion on the clans that I respect. Its a short list and I prob pissed off a bunch of people but what ever. I dont just respect clans cause everyone else does. I respect them on actions in the game, during clan wars. I dont care if the clan won sctfl, if they whine and cry and act like dicks, I wont respect them. Respect is earned, not given.

I would respect a clan thats not good skill wise, but are great sports, dont whine and have fun, over a clan that has the best players in the world but do nothing but whine.

And I have to disagree with Grish a bit, I've always had good experiences with Euro gathers and even matches against Euro clans. Or maybe I just don't speak enough Polish or German to understand their whine. Lalz.

What the hell are you talking about...:[DS]: is a serious clan, they are just very inactive.

{SEAL} is the oldest R/S clan alive and still has a strong roster.
