There is a difference in spamming and being dumb. He acts dumb alot. If we banned everyone here when they did something dumb no one would be left.

To be honest, if a random power crazed admin/mod decided to ban me for absolutely no reason, I certainly wouldn't be crushed. But I doubt an andmin/mod would go around banning people for no reason. Carlitos had been warned according to Demonic, this will hopefully do some good.

LOL! 14 day ban is nothing. I had to go through a 365 day ban (1 year). If you get a ban that will last over 100 days, then we'll start talking.

Carlitos got a warning for helping Dascoo steer a topic off the track ( and thus Dascoo got a ban, as it was his 3rd warning ). He then started to whine about the matter in other topics ( starting flames ), and kept pestering me in PM. I had told him to stop it, or I'll go through his old posts and give him a warning for each one which didn't contribute and thus can be considered as spam. He didn't get it, so he just went on with it. So, voila, 24 warnings. My plan was to have him banned for the rest of the reincarnational circle of existance, but Flies modified it to 14 days.

One thing's for sure: if he doesn't change when he comes back, he can expect another 30 warnings or so.

I have never heard of any other mod giving a warning because someone didn't agree with a warning to begin with. I got alot of flack from people when I gave them warnings but never gave a second warning just cause they got pissed off. Besides that you being a dick to him didn't help. Also no mod in his right mind gives one warning per post. Carlitos got mad and you acted like a dick to him. Funny how you only mod the people that seem to annoy you yet you leave trolls free range of the lounge. Btw I don't care if Bricks get mad at me or not. It should be known that what Demonic did is only right in his mind:

1. Your warnings were for little reason in the first place.
2. People didn't go posting in other topics about it, most likely.
3. The only way these forums are going to improve is by enacting such measures.

Also, I don't know what the policy is, but since he's listed as a mod in maps, doesn't that mean his responsibility is mostly concentrated on maps and not other sections?

Since we had some activity problems back a few months ago, all moderators were given powers over every section: this way if a random spammer appears, or someone posts hax, he can get busted by any moderator. Plus some areas like general discussions and lounge don't really need all that know-how to moderate ( not that maps require all that more either ).

Aye, there are a few too many trolls getting scott-free with their abusive/spammy posts. Why do these trolls get away with it? I don't know, but I'm sure our fine moderators will have it under control, of course. As for Cariltos' attitude, I'm not surprised that he got mad as he does have a short temper and that short temper soon spirels into further irrational behavior; though Demonic's.... less-than-professional demeanor didn't help the situation.

I might give him a good talking to on the subject, as simply giving him a warning lvl and ban is a terribly blunt tool that only makes him grow bitter and bare a grudge against Demonic. Maybe Demonic did sensibly tell him to stop, only starting the dramatics when Carlitos didn't take in the first warning, but I don't completely know the full script.
