Recording Demos
« on: October 20, 2007, 05:53:50 pm »
I know you can record demos of Soldat during the gameplay, I know how to record them, I curently have seven of them right now. The only thing I don't know how to do is play them afterwards.

Please Help  :)

Type in your ipbox..The name of the demo most likely demo1,2,3 etc then in the port box put in 0 and join you should now be watching your demos have fun

Or, if you don't want to bother downloading anything:

Look in your 'demos' folder in Soldat. Your demos will probably be labeled demo1.sdm, demo2.sdm, and so on, unless you renamed them. What you do is get the name if the one you want to watch, (minus the .sdm) start Soldat, hit 'join game' and where says to type the IP number of the server, put the name of the demo (for example, demo1) and where it says 'port' just put in 0. Then hit join game and the demo will play.
I attend grammar school, last grade, and ignorance is all around me. Well, good for them. Ignorance is bliss.

Well Lord Frunkamunch, I'd already figuered that out =-P

So I know what this is all about now and (to Psycho) Thanks for the downloadable thing-a-ma-jiggers. I'm trying to download the third one right now (the first didn't work for me and I don't like that you have to download two things for the second one)

Well if a Mod were to come around and lock this thread this would be a good time for it. :)

EDIT : Not yet! :o I would also like to know how to separate one specific peice of the raplay from anouther. If anyone know please tell me.

You'd need to use a Movie Maker for that.

I have a question, is there a way to spectate all members of a match? Such as, you take a demo of yourself playing, but you can click to watch different players. Anyone? (kind of like in battlerecorder for BF2)
