TiReD -
"3. Crappy clip that is capable of killing 2 players without reloading."

Deagles kill 2 ppl, mp5, styer too... ak, minimi about 3, socom kills 2 ppl, spas can kill 3 ppl. (and barret can kill 10 ppl without reloading! xD) (ah, knife can kill 65535 people without reloading<ovrpwrd! ovrpwrd!>)

excruciator -
".75 seconds" ?? huh ?? ... nice stats. It's about 0.5. (aim+shoot, delay+shoot)
Steyr rarely kills  2 people without reloading, hk too unless theyre breathing on your ear.

By the way, stop taking things to the extreme to "prove" a point, its stupid.

Ruger KILLS 2 players in around *2* SECONDS, MAYBE *3* if the guy is slow

Not agreeing doesn't make me biased, I agree it is a bit better in certain situations but so are other guns. My point is skill and play style are much greater factors than the gun. I use the ruger on certain maps but otherwise if I am playing to win I use the steyr, maybe I should play some gathers and upload demos instead of just insisting other guns are good.

This thread will escalate into a flame war if left unchecked.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

I played him an hour ago, he used the Steyr.

*EDIT*

1. It doesnt have bink.

Looks like someone forgot the difference between bink and self bink...

2. The movement acc isnt a problem when it only takes around 1 second to kill.

1: Stat pulled out of ass.
2: What do those 2 statements have to do with each other? Again, I think you need to go and look up what "movement acc" is. Along with bink.

3. Crappy clip that is capable of killing 2 players without reloading.

Yeah, how often are you going to get 4 headshots in a row while under fire (and thus getting binked) from 2 people? Barret can kill 10 people with one clip, whoop-de-fecking-doo.

4. Slow rate of fire that can feck any non-1 hit killer without getting too damaged.

Ahahahahaha....haha...

...

Seriously, why don't you go and test these bullfeck theories instead of spouting them as fact?

And yes,
Should weapons be judged for what they can do, or for what they do on unexperienced hands?.
They should. You realize not everyone who plays Soldat is a pro?

And it's not like a skilled ruger user is invincible; all your "examples" of overpoweredness seem to involve 2 things. A couple Boogie Men and a master rugerer.

2. Okay, let me fix it... it takes 1.4 seconds to kill someone, is that long when all you have to do is jet up and shoot?.

3. How often do you play on high competivity clan wars?... a good ruger can kill a guy rushing in 1.4 seconds.

Barrett isnt able to take 2 guys on a row

4. Seriously, why dont you stop being a retard who thinks his point of view is a fucking fact?.

I think the ruger is overpowered cause there are fuckers who only miss 10% of their fucking bullets, do you think its fucking underpowered to kill 2 rushing guys and be left with 50% health?

5. I realize that not everyone is pro, but that doesnt stop me from wanting a more balanced game on publics or clan wars.

The best quote I've heard in a long time.

lord, it doesnt take 4 headshot to make 2 kill, it takes 2 chest, or any combination of head and legs.
also dont make extreme examples if you can't defend your argument.

yeah, there isnt a lot of pro, but the weapon still has to be balanced by potencial, not how many noobs are playing. (its only logical to do so)

true, but then again, the only weapon that is most likely to be able to counter ruger is the barrett, but the fact is that barrett has twice as much bink and moviment acc(not accurate but close). and also it has a delay. See how much difference there is between a 2 hitter and a 1 hitter?

So which is more likely? a pro rugerer or a pro barrett?

...do you think its fecking underpowered to kill 2 rushing guys and be left with 50% health?

...Not this feck again. You say the ruger is overpowered in competitive playing, and yet you say that 2 people rushing a single ruger user won't be able to kill him easily? Unless those 2 rushers suck badly there is no way (Okay, there is a way, but it's NOT going to happen 90% of the time).that rugerer is gonna live, unless he has some other advantage (height, collider, nade trap...). Sure, he may kill one of them, but saying he can survive with 50% health against 2 good players if a very extreme example.

And no, I don't think it's underpowered. I like it more or less the way it is, although I wouldn't mind the fire rate going down a bit.

1. The ruger doesnt have BINK nor SELF BINK

...Check your weapons.ini plz.

As for "I realize that not everyone is pro, but that doesnt stop me from wanting a more balanced game on publics or clan wars."

That's a tough one, as obviously there won't ever be a perfect balance for both of them. This is what weapon modding is for.

You get the height... wait for one of them while going back... kill one, go a little back again and kill the other...or

Kill one easily with ruger, then nade+headshot combo

Use the ruger on a public and get hit by a auto weapon, tell me if you get any bink.

Excuse me... Are you an idiot... Ruger does have bink. It's just not much. Just because it doesn't have alot of it doesn't make it non-existant. It's like me saying to a jewish person, oh it's okay, because you are only half a jew, They are still jewish. Duh.

Pie, the ruger's bink is so low that it will never effect it, thus ignorable. Complaining when someone says ruger doesn't have bink is just splitting hairs.

Edit
Oh, didn't notice TiReD just said that ^^

Bullshit in one week you can master the rugar... IMHO there is only one true master with it and that is mancer... I use the rugar on nearly every map and while iam a fair shot iam no where near the league of people like mancer.

First of all, everyone needs to stop saying the word feck every five seconds in all of their posts.  It doesn't make you seem smart, it makes you look like an ignorant retard who is trying to look cool.

As for the ruger situation, it's an odd weapon.  In pubs it is rarely used because frankly, most people aren't able to use it all that well.  Though the same can't be said for gathers/clan wars.  While even still it's not overused, you'll see it a lot more, and it will be an annoyance to play against.

The reason for this is due to it's shockingly fast kill rate.  Getting killed in under a second is less then appealing to most people.  That being said, it is still not the most common thing you'll see.  The movement accuracy makes up for this, helping to cause a miss every so often in even the best of players.

What this gun needs is a slower rate of fire.  That would really even out this weapon.  I actually wouldn't mind if they boosted it's power in exchange for a slower rate of fire.  As is though, it is a bit overpowered, but mostly from a rate of fire standpoint.

I disagree with some of your point The Owls. I really don't see how it would help to nerf ruger if a leg hit and a body hit would kill anyone. Too damn easy. I think it's power is quite good as it is. I would either want slower ROF or slower reload (it's damn close to mp5 if I remember correctly, and that's already very short), or both. It's power is still very strong.
