« on: October 25, 2007, 10:15:51 am »
Is he improving Soldat? Or what is he doing for now? Working in Crimson glory or so? Does he have prepared any new version for Soldat? Answer me, please.

And he's also fixing up Soldat here and there, so don't worry about it.

1.4.3 has a number of fixes and small features added (with a few larger ones).  Soldat is still being updated actively, if not more actively than in the past year or so.  I'm guessing there will be a Soldat 1.4.3 beta out in a few weeks.  For those who don't know, we're doing a public beta for 1.4.3.  There will be a private beta for a short period of time, just to fix large problems.  1.4.3 will then move to a public beta where users can help test the game as described here: http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=19897.0

Will this eliminate the need for beta testers? Or just mean they wont need as many?

The Beta Testers will remain Beta Testers as a kind of core of the whole public beta testing thing, verifying bugs reported by the public and discussing all the public's thoughts on new balances / maps and stuff like in their own place. And there will probably also be some phases with non-public beta tests for the very early beta versions of a new Soldat version...

This is at least how I understood it ;D

exactly.  They will serve as the first line of testing to make sure there are now major issues, and after that they will help manage and verify reported issues in http://soldat.pl/mantis

I don't blame MM for switching to side projects for a while. Work on one thing for too long, and you're bound to get bored of it somewhat.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

It isn't that he's bored of Soldat, he's just more interested in his new game right now.

Yes, i know what you are saying O.R.I.O.N.

That happens to me on mapmaking too! i get bored to do a thing after a while, and that sucks. I don't blame on him to stop his projects, he is doing a hard work on Soldat as i can see, just i went to know what was he doing.
