WinAPI Hook #3?

Whenever I join a server I get 'BattlEye Server: *myname* : WinAPI Hook #3
*myname* has been kicked for BattlEye violation

About 10 minutes after a BattlEye update.
3 servers in a row.
I have Vista Home Edition
Only programs running were FireFox, Windows Live messenger and usual processes.

Good day to everyone,

Whenever I join a server I get 'BattlEye Server: *myname* : WinAPI Hook #5

And only on gather servers, I dont get it at all. Could you help me? Running programs were mIRC, uTorrent plus some againts virus. OS XP Pro.

and it was 5 minutes after BE uptade.

I'm also getting this as of this evening, except mine is #5 instead of #3. Nothing has changed on my setup whatsoever: w2k sp4, nothing running in the background except avast and firewall.

Do you run Sunbelt Personal Firewall? At the moment this causes the problem.

Yes, I am running Sunbelt...

However I've switched it off and tried again - same thing.

As far as I know simply switching it off doesnt help. You would need to uninstall it.

The Kerio/Sunbelt firewall uses a WinAPI hook that the new BE version is picking up.

As I said I am looking into a solution.

I just disabled Xfire in-game and all works fine now :).

i whas told on irc that i suld remove my fw and just run off the built in windows firewall.
sure it wuld temporerly allow me to play on a BE "secure" server but i use my firewall for more then just allow or deny connections...

while i w8 for this issue to be resolved then i guess i'll play on non BE servers.

If your current firewall is causing the problem you can change for another one.

I'm running Sygate, which is working fine. I had no problems with ZoneAlarm either, which is one of the better free ones.

I uninstalled SPF. but, causes the problem. WinAPI Hook #5.

heh i tryed to disable all the features in kerio.
i.e the IDS, webfilter and some other things... still get banned from servers so it must be in the core of kerio.
and it's still the API Hook #5.

well that's all from my experiments atm :)
