I got this link off of a game i got off vapour (Battlemech) which is pretty fun online..

it isn't a game, it is a Quake 1 mod as tribute to Soldat... just like how we make mods/interfaces to represent other games.

and these are only based on 1) the games that I know of (which are very few) and 2) only the mods that have been posted on the new forums.  Don't even get me started on map names.

If you're going to throw a fit about someone using Soldat as the name of a tribute mod:
1) read the site first to make sure its an actual game before accusing them of ripping off soldat
2) look around a bit and think about it.
3) quake 1 is an awesome game, plus the mod isn't even finished yet.  You have no grounds to criticize him/it at all yet, if ever.

Yeah, I guess you're right, I did go a little over the top, but I was just shocked at that title :/ (i was thinking of that korean game that came out awhile back)

Quake 1 is an awesome game.

yes.... those are mods for soldat that use the names of other games...


... his "Soldat" is a mod for Quake 1 that is named "Soldat"


its the exact same thing that people do here and in every other game.
