Reviving the Thing Thing mod
« on: October 31, 2007, 11:23:33 am »
After giving it some thought, I've come to the conclusion that my Thing Thing mod needs an overhaul. I also know that as far as spriting goes, I flat-out fail. So, in short, I need a spriter.

The interface weapon graphics are my only problem. I can handle weapon function, gosteks, weapon gfx, etc. I can probably get some sounds from Weasel or Mikhail; I know them well enough for that. If you think you can help, send me a PM. Keep in mind that I need someone who can keep true to Thing-Thing's style, though more preferably that of TT3 and TTA2. I'll give you the list of weapons that I need when you contact me. I would suggest playing the games or checking out the scene creator at Diseased Production's website for a reference on what the weapons look like.

Your support is appreciated. I really do want to keep this mod alive. Hopefully, I can put this into a mixer format some time in the future. Thanks in advance.

To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

So, you finally decided to reactivate this project. First at all, best if everything will be in newest TT3 but with weapons before, also new damage, corpse system looking nice. TT style isn't a problem for me if you want to known. Wink
Why O.R.I.O.N. is so rarely at soldatforums? :P

...self-fail fixed.

And what is that supposed to mean, Henito? >_>

I'm actually on almost every weekday. Ironically, I get more free computer time then.

If you're trying to get an idea of what the weapons look like, just play the games. It's the best way to learn.

the easiest way i can think of doing this is by playing TTA2 tutoruial mode and taking a screenshot of the weapons from that.

If anyone else is trying it, there's also the Thing-Thing Scene Creator, which lets you select any weapon from any game. It's on Diseased Productions' website.

By the way O.N.I.O.N, I still need to know which ones to do. I can't recognize most weapons by their names, so either get pictures or try describing them :O
I attend grammar school, last grade, and ignorance is all around me. Well, good for them. Ignorance is bliss.
