5:4; 1280x1024; it annoys me to no end too, but I'm kinda forced to use it because it's the native resolution of my LCD monitor.

Amen. only now Dell is comming out with some amazing screens. before they were crap, but I remember when they came out with like a 23" LCD that came with a computer for $300.
