Yes, the mp5 DEFINITELY needs a power and possibly speed buff. And when he said standing still and unloading, he wasn't saying that that's what he does/suggests you do/think that's how it should be used. He meant that even if every bullet hits, at any range, the ruger will kill first.

Ok, When I was referring to a close range weapon I meant the mp5 as this is what the topic pertains to. So the point was that an mp5 does not out damage a long range weapon (ruger) even if they are both are right next to each other.

One shots out damage semis all the time. Rock, paper, scissors. You can't base a weapons effectiveness through a pure damage test alone. That aside I do think the Mp5 could use to be slightly better, but not much.
