Crysis Interface
« on: November 21, 2007, 12:01:05 pm »
You may have seen this in the Crysis mod section.  Well, I'm posting it here now, for all to see and download.

Registered:

Unregistered:

Note:  If you have a Download Manager that likes to jump in all the time, like FlashGet, click cancel when you initially click the links.

Also, these screenies don't really depict the interfaces very well, since a lot of the interface shines only when playing, due to things shown at certain times only.

Hope this isn't breaking any rules of the forums, thanks,

Str!ker

Thanks :).

Forgot to mention, the registered one, like many other reg interfaces only works well in 640x480, and not really with other resolutions.  However, the unregistered works fine under all resolutions.

Thanks guys.

I might make later revisions, but I think I'll leave that until both files make it past one download, because at the moment, that's all that's been downloaded, lol...

So the registered version sucks at 728x1024 resolution?

Probably Will.  However, I'm going to try and make it work, the same way the Predator Interface seems to be able to work properly.

I think MM designed soldat to run in 640x480, in other resolutions, so whilst you're set at 1024x768, soldat's backbuffer is actually set to 640x480, then stretched onto the desired resolution.

Unfortunately, MM has the interfaces in screen resolution, so whilst soldat itself, the game, the mini people running around frantically shooting eachother, is running in 640x480, but the interface, cursor, and display is running in 1024x768.

This is the problem, because the interface is designed in 640x480, so it must be scaled somehow.  What I think he's done is turn the 640x480 image into a grid, which then resizes to large resolutions, and anything within a certain grid area, gets transported to a new position in thet new resolution, so if some of the object I have are in a different grid area, then I'm going to have to try and move them back properly.

Sorry if that's hard to explain, but I'll see what I can do...

I like the unreg version better. More compact.

true, i can always make the minimap (supposed to be, but actually showing scores) bit smaller.  Could change the design a bit...

However, the reg version is partially see-through, so you can still see stuff through the minimap bit.  Not well, but subliminal vision is what makes things cool.  However, perhaps this may not be true for Soldat... ;D

I just tested it and all of the moving bars of wayyy mis-aligned. Hope you can fix the problem. (Would you like a screen-shot?)

Don't worry, I know already.  I'm trying to work it out, but I may have to revert to an older interface version that might work...

Damn! I want 1024x768. Please, str1ker? PLEEEAAASE? At least 800x600. Lower resolutions are annoying to play.

Unfortunately BD's mod is down too since Filefront died on everyone. If you want it, make it.
