I think smoke grenades could be interesting as a means to obscure the vision for one hit weapons. With all the complaints that those weapons receive, I'm surprised more aren't behind this idea. Being able to obscure your position from an enemy is always a good thing.

You may say they're too CS, but CS was one of the main inspirations for MM. Also, have you noticed that  a lot of the guns' sounds are from CS? Hmmmm? Saying it's too CS supports the cause!

Flash bang could bling like when you lose your hearing with a reg nade, and smoke could obscure vision like polies do in a realistic game... I like the idea... but now that I think about it, know how many smokes and strobes would be going off!?!?!?

I think it would be a good addition. Mainly for realistic though.

Smoke grenades aren't usually used for cover, but for signalling, distractions, and to confuse the hell out of someone.

For instance, you can kind of control where someone goes with smoke grenades. Just plop one over a path you don't want the enemy to take and wait with teamates in the other path and they'll go to you instead of to the smoke. People usually don't run through massive clouds of smoke because you don't know if someone could be lurking in there with a chainsaw or whatever.

Flashbangs are ok, but not as good as smoke grenades. I personally wouldn't use them that much. They can be really usefull in realistic mode though, since enemies can't see you lob one over a corner. Then you can just run in and shoot 'em up while they can't see.

That is exactly what we dont want. We want a game that isnt just a copy of some other game. otherwise we would just all go buy a game with the same shit in it and better graphics.

yeah, flashbangs would be abused, like teamflashing n such. smokes could work in realistic, i guess, like if it acts like a couple of polygons with "no collide" that sorta follow the smoke, but you cant see past them (as if there was a wall there or something)

Soldat in no way is going to ever be close to cs. so stop comparing them!!

Of course it's never going to be close.  Soldat is much better than Counterstrike (I own both of them).  I don't think the action is as intense in CS, and when it is, it's the wrong kind of intensity ("wow this is intense" *dies*).

I voted both no because (as some of you may have seen before) NADE SPAMMERS...even if there are only one or two of either nade think about it. *2smoke 1flash 4nades* equals one laggy game...think 'bout it. soldat doesnt need anymore nades...its fine as is right now  >:(

Hmm I think smoke nades would be balanced if there was only one man to carry em. I mean if a guy picks up the powerup then there bare no  smoke powerups spawning until he's dead
