Computer crushes

Sometime when I use soldat and Mirc at the same time my computer monitor crushes and it reduces the resolution to 800*600(I think) and color to 4 bit...

anyone else is having this problem???
What do I do about it?

Use an alternative irc client, like Chatzilla for Firefox.

when you get a certain message in mirc, it blinks or grabs focus.  This causes Soldat to minimize while leaving the screen in your other resolution.  Don't use mirc at the same time or turn that feature off.
