Ini. Phenomenon
« on: November 29, 2007, 06:05:24 pm »
I would really love to know some seriously weird things you can do with the weapons.ini.
I don't mean like super rocket gun or stuff like that, but... Strange things that happen that aren't supposed to happen in MM's Intentional ini function. If you know anything weird that you can do with the ini. please post it here.

If I recall correctly... if you give the ak47 a reload time under 100 ticks then it totally bugs up and you can't switch weapons unless reloading, and you can't move properly... when you try and prone your soldat prones and stands back up repeatedly  about 30 times in a second......

That bug never happened to me, although >100 tick reload did cause some nade throwing/weapon change issues.

Relatively common ones, but hey, you asked...

If you set the bullet type of the knife or fist to an explosive, it will blow you up when you fire. If you do it to chainsaw, it will make an explosion in front of you, the distance between you and the explosion can be changed by raising or lowering the speed values.

If you set the reload time below 0, the weapon will not be able to reload.

If you set the firing rate to 0, the weapon will not have to reload, regardless of reload time setting, will always be automatic no matter what weapon, and if you pause while firing a weapon with a fire rate of 0, the gun will continue firing for around a minute after pausing, which results in hundreds of bullets in the same area. Setting the fire rate value below 0 will render the weapon useless.

The shotgun can only fire shotgun pellets, and it's reload time cannot be changed. This is the only weaopns unaffected by setting the reload time below 0.

Those aren't really phenomenon, they're things that MM knows and are coded into the game...

Thats not really something that MM doesn't know about yet...

But they aren't intentional, which is what you asked.
