I have been hosting gameservers for a few years, since 2001 and I have gained a lot of experince, hence the reason I am now trying to establice a game hosting service..

Until Januar 1'st we are offering a 16 Player Tagged Soldat Server for ONLY 2$ a month if you buy 3 months.. This is a one time offer, you can only buy 3 month and after the 3 month's normal prices will apply.

Its a new hosting service.. the company behind is mine called Virtusdata and its a well establised IT Consulting Company

Your "normal prices" are a fecking rip-off. One could get a decent (not great, but decent) server for that kind of money, and install more than one gameserver on it.

Ramirez, we offer a virtual shell to one of our psychical gameservers, you can run ONE or TEN gameservers in your virtual shell.. how reliable it would be if you install that many is unknown atm. but we will how ever upgrade to 64bit intel processors soon, instead of the "old" Intel Pentium 4 2.4-3.4Ghz CPUs..

So yeah, YOU could get a old system and run a gameserver on that... tho.. I doubt you can run it as nicely as our setup.. but go ahead and try..

For basic its $62 a month? I could spend my money on a much more popular game than soldat and get a nice server for that kinda of money.

Multiple datacenters my ass, it appears that you only have one server, total, anywhere.

Also, if you plan to appeal to anyone, you should fix the tens of typos on your site and stop using abbreviations everywhere.

also, if u plan to get monies, u shuld fix teh tpoys on ur sight n stop using abbr.

edit: it looks like whoever owns gameserverworks also owns the hostingworks.eu domain, they just haven't done anything with it except leave ads up (or they *just* bought it)

The prices show on the website are .... fair.. considering you can run a 200 player world of warcraft realm, 2 Counter-Strike Source and 4 Soldat servers.. if you want... as this is a new hosting company, we will work on the prices and make special packages, ie. 2 x 16Player Soldat servers for 8$ a month or similar.. but atm. we are still working setting up our network and servers, making everything run smooth

In any case, your DNS servers are misconfigured. I shouldn't have been able to get that list from your server like I did, I just assumed it was complete.

Well, actually I have and according to danish law the proper authorities has to contact me about something illigal on my server, and make me shut down the customer, so people could actually run a preteen lolita website... dont get me wrong here, but they could.. that I would ban them permanently and report all and any ip ever contacted the website to the police, I allow all costumers to do as they like, but! if any legal issues being reported to me, I close them down.. so yeah.. you COULD run a 200 player wow realm.. I don't care what you do with the shell.. as long as the traffic / cpu time is below "preferred" values.. and trust me, a 200 player wow realm is not that demanding on a system..

Are they really now.. or did I not get the reverse dns I requested from my ISP for some of the servers.. someone pull this monkey off my back.!

but this is getting outa hand..

2$ a month for 12 - 16player Soldat Servers.. with start / stop admin system and ftp access to the gameservers "root" enjoy.!

I don't understand the pricing model.

I pay 62$ for the basic thing. Do i get root access over the complete machine, or only one user account from many? How many Users are on one machine, and how much CPU Power is guaranteed for me?

TheToast > prices are temporary and just an idea we'll continue to play with, they will be cheaper in a 3 month's time and we are wenting the idea of several boards to get feedback from actual costumers. You will get semi root access to a complete mashine. tho, you could end up being co-hosting the server with one or more people depending on the demand, however, your server will never suffer performance wise whatsoever, all gameservers are monitored 24/7 from a NSU that reacts if there is any problems and a skilled technician will solve the issue within 5-15 mins. your guaranteed as much cpu as you require.. hope this answers your question
