So, Wraithlike, do you forgive me? (I didn't understand your PM at all) Be sure that i won't do this anymore, it was just that I was very happy with the results, as I said, and I didn't remember even to PM you asking for permission.

About the turret, the bunker and the fire, the first thing what I did before use them was try doing them, I was the whole day trying to make something that had the looking of a flame (Same with the bunker and the turret), but i failed, so then I was taking a look to a bunch of maps looking for a thing that would fit and I found your ones, and used them. I just hope you forgive me.

I just don't understand that why do you consider yourself as a "PRO Mapmaker."
I had to write something, no?

Also don't use scenery as polygons. Polygons are made to go through not collide

Imagine that there are 4 guys in that side.... how can they shot at once? I just made that barricade to have more soldiers camping here.
I'm-a waypoint this thing...
Wow... thanks!

I removed the big CENSORED title and re-uploaded the map archive.

Yeah...well, why is a boat in an oasis in the first place? The oasis wouldn't lead anywhere else... Although it is a nice map, the fact that you have a bunker in your map that was not created by you kind of erks me. It's just a little annoying. It also seems a bit dark for this map.

Also, stating that this is your "best map so far" in the title (subject) sets you up for failiure. Let's just say that someone doesn't like this map, they will see the title (subject) and might think, "Wow, if this is this person's best map: they aren't that good." Now, I am not one of those people. I personally think that this is pretty good. Just a heads up... Don't state something that people can disagree with, referring to the quality of your map, in the title (subject).

@Blacksheepboy: I removed the "My best map so far" of the title. You've got reason.

Alright everyone, here it is! The WAYPOINTED version of the map! Rejoice! :P

Here ya go, ~Niko~, enjoy. This is my best waypointing job yet. I have tested the bots under standalone AND combat conditions, and they are very capable of capping the Bravo flag. This was an easy, but fun, map to waypoint.

I thought the fire effects using m_crack (or is it rsf_crack?) was used before by VirtualTT.

Anyway, I think it's a good map in terms of using references from other past maps by several different mappers.

I noticed that your style is consistently used on remakes of default soldat maps and/or taking inspiration from several different maps. I know you're a skilled mapper, but I want to see you explore the field of originality and boldness a little bit. Even if you had tried it before, it never hurts to try again.

Agreed. Exactly what I'd say too.

It's m_crack and m_blood. I use them in all of my maps to give them a destroyed/bloody looking.

Yes, I take inspiration of them. I haven't got many ideas, so I see other's maps to get the inspiration. This one (Inf_Arizona) is an idea OF MINE. Someone said that this was a cut-paste job, but they are wrong, I was weeks working on this, I just used the flames, boat, turret and bunker style, that's all.

I know you're a skilled mapper, but I want to see you explore the field of originality and boldness a little bit. Even if you had tried it before, it never hurts to try again.
What do you want? Try other styles? Maybe other layouts? I always end adding those effects (m_blood, barbwires, x's...) to make the map REALISTIC that's my style, that's why I don't put much fuel (Even sometimes I don't put any). I love VTT's maps, and his realistic style, so I do my maps with this great style. If you are looking for a default/"normal" maps for me you won't found any.

While we are talking about map ideas. I think we should talk about layouts, not look. Look isn't idea, look is a thing how can get respect at the forums. I think it really doesn't do gameplay any funner, cos players play map they might see at first look that it's pretty but they get used to it as they get used to with not so phenomal look and finally there's no difference. Of course bad look: too bright/dark polys, background or too much scenery, could ruin gameplay. I think if people want good graphics they shouldn't be playing soldat. But well I think there are many mappers who try to get everything from this 2D game platform, it's a hobby. A hobby, I don't understand and luckily I don't have to.

I think the look is very important. It's makes it feel more realistic. On the map, I think you did a pretty good job. As for being original, I don't really care as long as it's fun. Keep up the good work.

The layout is important too, but if you are playing a good looking map with crappy layout it makes you sick.

The looking is the most time-absorbing part, but you mustn't forget to do a good layout.
