Instant crash

I just downloaded Soldat. When I try to play, either using the .exe or the setup menu, it simply crashes. All I get is this error message.
I checked the FAQ's, and from what I heard, I should reduce all graphic options. Already did that, but it hasn't helped at all...

Also, it seems that  should add my configuration:
Pentium 4 3.2 GHz
ATI Radeon 9250 128 MB
512 MB RAM
C-Media 97' Sound Card

When running under Vista you need to run it in XP Compatability mode, and run as an admin.

I'm running on XP, the theme only looks like Vista.
Have uninstalled and installed multiple times and it does nothing. I really wanted to try this game...

Nevermind... It seems that it has solved itself while installing under safe mode.
