I can't remember or relate nicknames

Duh... I really really can't remember any nicknames over the whole soldat community, there's like a few I know but mostly I kinda' stereotype them... Wraithlike, and Eagles_Arrows for example are the same person (or rather type?) for me, the "good-criticism, classic map creator"-dude. Or Ouchek and Outcast (well the names?). And most remarkable is that ramirez and DSlayer are. Apart from that, I can't relate anyting to those nicknames (and it's the same with many others) ... bleh. Names from the german (my homeland) community tell me absoluteley nothing. What am I even writing here? Sorry for making this useless post. But are you maybe sometimes having that same problem?

How do you deal with actual names? I've never had a problem with nicknames, but in real life I always need to ask a person's name at least twice before it sticks. As a result, I feel people think I'm incompetent or just not paying attention.

When it comes to recollecting the names, I'll confuse names with the same first letter. Just the other day I confused Jeremy with James.  I find it very frustrating because I remember everything about the person (physical appearance, face, what they talked to me about), except the name.

Anyway, be glad to know that you're not the only person who confuses names. There are advanced methods of remembering names that involve active memorization. Here's an article from wikiHow with plenty of tips.

Lmao. I fall into this subject very well. Add me on msn or xfire and Ill ask you your name, country, and age atleast 50 times. Even more then because Ill forget every 10 mins. But I have a reason to be forgetful, and its called weed.

I directly relate peoples names with their faces. On the forums, since I don't usually know what people look like, I directly relate them with your avatar, unless I know what you look like via the picture thread. I hate people who change their avatar like every day, because then I have to check who they are :S

 I constantly forget names... I think it may be because I never really like people when I first meet them. Takes me a while to warm up to people, so I have no reason to learn names. I try to learn names I just never do, although I tell people right away I am terrible with names. Faces.... now faces I remember, I still recall faces of people from grade-school.... I'm the opposite I'll remember names, but never recall what people look like.

I can recall nicknames, atleast something related to them on the forums because of the avatars and the signatures. But I can't remember real names that fast. It's a fucking pain in the arse I tell ya.

heh thats funny, i mean i dont really have a BIG problem with remember names, sometimes i forget, depending on the complication of the name and if i care.

But its happened to me like 10-15 times and when i log into a public server, somebody will be like ''hey its the dude who touches himself''

I usually go with the avatar or signature of a person to recognize their nickname, especially if they've had it for a long time, and I'm almost certain that some of you do this too. Hence, I keep my sigatar sets for a long time... and because I can't make them.
