Is there a way to change the maximum jet pack flight length?
« on: December 10, 2007, 05:22:22 pm »
I THINK IT WOULD BE THE COOLEST THING EVER IF YOU COULD ADJUST THE MAX FLIGHT LENGTH (MFL). THE ONLY PROBLEM IS I THINK IT MIGHT BE IN THE .DLL FILES WHICH ARE DIFFICULT TO ADJUST. PLEASE HELP.

QUICK ADDITION-- PRETTY MUCH THE SAME THING BUT I WAS ALSO WONDERING IF YOU CAN ADJUST THE MAXIMUM HEALTH.

I WONT USE IT FOR ONLINE PLAY UNLESS PERMITTED

Don't post in caps. It only shows how dumb you are. And you can change the jet pack 'length' with the Soldat map maker.

You cannot edit the DLL's.

You cannot adjust the flight length. All you can do is change how much fuel you can have at any given time. As EnEsCe mentioned, this limit is defined in the actual maps themselves. Snag Polyworks or MapMaker to edit maps and see what I mean.

You can't change the maximum health, but you can use different interfaces to make the health bar seem bigger or smaller.

You could always make the weapons weaker by editing the weapons.ini for 'more health'

hey thats a good idea but you cant adjust damage for falls, knife throws, and explosions, i.e. grenade, law.

speaking of laws how do u use the law my comp must be screwed up or something because i cant shoot the law.

Grenade you can adjust the damage for, although it will always do significantly more on a footshot. Cluster grenade damage is around 1/2 or 1/3 of 'nade damage. Knife throw damage you can edit freely. LAW, m79, and flame arrow damage editing only affects the blast damage; you're right in that 1 direct hit is an unchangeable 1 hit kill.

And you fire the LAW by crouching or proning on the ground, and holding down the fire button.
Yeah, I couldn't use the LAW for 4 months after starting Soldat, shoulda' asked

btw, you can* change the damage using scripting in OnPlayerDamage

Code: [Select]
function OnPlayerDamage(Victim, Shooter: byte; Damage: integer): integer;
begin
  Result:=Damage;
//just change Damage after Result to change the damage dealt (game will still do a hell of a lot of damage for the m79 nades& law missiles)
end;

XD

You LET your sister play typing...in the bathtub?

I'd just get a new keyboard.

Also, PLEASE, BEFORE YOU GO INTO THE REALM OF STUPIDITY, USE PUNCTUATION!

Yes, I was yelling. Yes, I do mean that. Use punctuation, and you will immediately be recognized as a human being on these forums, not some animal trying to type.

Seriously, though, EVERYONE MODIFY YOUR MAPS, QUICKLY!
Don't say that you're Magic. Because you aren't, and I am.
All-around good with weapons that aren't long range, except in TW.
Now be careful out there, soldier.
