Keep a big distance from everyone, if someone sees you and starts spraying your ass, you're screwed.

Don't jet too much, screws you aim. Prone when taking a shot, except when you are on the ground.

Take time to get used to the actual weapon, It takes some time before you get really good.
When firing, stay stationary as much as is possible e.g. crouching and firing, or hovering and firing.
Don't run for the hills when people attack, just use grenades and your secondary weapon, then reload the Barrett.

Actually sniping with the Barrett is only feasable in big, open maps that don't have many floating islands (think trenchwar). The trick to "common" Barretting is learning to compensate for movement inaccuracy and timing your shots right. Also, †'s right about one thing; snipe-camping is only feasable in trenchwars or CS.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

Every time you shoot make sure not to hold any movement keys.

To start out, don't just watch the enemy watch your cross hair too and make sure it's on them.

Run away like a pussy, and only stop for split seconds to shoot at enemies. Thats how every sniper I meet plays anyway.

Don't get shot.

Socom is probably your best bet with sniper, learn to use it as well.

- Use knife as secondary

Why?
If anyone goes very close to you, kill him with the knife. Simple and you can get it from the ground. You can take your enemy's primary when it's dead.

- Avoid the bullets

Why?
They make your aim precision decrease, and finally makes impossible kill anyone.
If anyone is using a HK, go away from him and keep a good distance, because HK bullets have slow speed and don't go straight, they fall down after a while, so they don't hit you.

- In survival, prone on a cadaver

Why?

(Better if you have low life), so nobody will be able to see you, just have caution at aim, because your sniper IS moving and everyone that is looking to the cadaver can see it, so aim down and keep cool. Some people like shot the cadavers for fun, so have caution.

Other tips:

- If all players have got Ak, AUG, Minimi or weapons of that kind, don't use sniper.
- If the map is small, don't use it.
- If you see some bushes that are near you and there's nobody looking at you, go behind and hide until someone go near you, a shot is enough to kill him, but if you miss and he see you, run like a rabbit until you can fire again.

Never get binked, always keep a full inventory of nades, keep a secondary. Really lower your mouse sensitivity. Don't shoot directly above, unless they are hovering in the same spot. Never waste your shot, always take time when you are new.

I take about half a second, which is still a long time, to get a perfect shot. Really, and I mean really, work on movement, so you can dodge some shots, and if you need to reload the gun, you can get away for a little then take out the nades and secondary. Never camp, it makes you seem like a total nub. Don't run away always, only do it if you have really low health and no nades/secondary or need to reload the whole gun.

Oh, and if you kill someone, drop your secondary, and pick up the primary. Some of these tips where from my brother, who was once a camper/running nub, but now he doesn't really play much.

Elite 1 Shots? I saw you, but I forgot it was you, you should have mentioned it... I am admin for that server, I could've pm'd you a server we would've fought at and I would've showed you some ricochets on 5 maps, and most snipers use those ricochets to kill in 1vs1 or pubs.

hair style should be dreadlock, then use the skin color changer to change everything to OD green.

then hide, but now you only need something to cover the shirt instead of something that covers your entire body(which is constantly being shot at by a few bullet from your enemy just to find you).

when you see anyone, wait until he went past you, then ture around and kill him(but makesure there is no more enemy behind him).
