[SOLVED] Running mod issues
« on: July 16, 2006, 05:02:16 am »
OK, is there any way to run a mod besides using .bat files? I tried to go like
Code: [Select]
soldat.exe -mod )2ESIDENT EVIL ~ SoldatBut the window just comes up and immediately disappears. However, on the Soldat Militias mod, using
Code: [Select]
C:/Soldat/Soldat.exe -mod MilitiaDefaultWorks. Is it the spaces or what? (EDIT: Tried using quotation marks on the )2esident Evil mod and it still didn't work)
Or is there some fan app or alternative method?
Thanks.

Ensure you have spelling/capitalization correct.

If this doesn't work:

Code: [Select]
soldat.exe -mod ")2ESIDENT EVIL ~ Soldat"
then I would suggest you rename that mods folder so it includes no spaces/special symbols in the name, and try again.

Gah, I edited the .bat file and change the folder's name to ResidentEvil (and I copied+pasted the name to eliminate the chance of any spelling errors), and it does the same thing.
I remember I had a mod program from the old forums that was very handy. I can't remember what it was called or who made it, though. It listed the folders in the C:\Soldat\Mods directory and let you select one. It then ran the selected mod. After I got a new computer, I lost it. :'(

EDIT:
Oh, and the 'play MS' button on Mecha Soldat does the same thing, so I'm sure it's not me...

Oh, that's right!
I wanted to use that program before, but it wouldn't install on my old computer for some reason.
Thanks! ^-^
