Little words in the interface gfx
« on: January 05, 2008, 02:19:08 pm »
I've seen mods like the planet side mod http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=17926.msg204776#msg204776 where it has a description under the words that are used to select the gun, do you use a type of font for that? Or are you supposed to make it pixel by pixel writing?

Pixel writing would be the most effective.

Normal fonts in such low resolution look awful.

I wasn't aware there was anything to learn about it...

You just make letters out of pixels.

Example:

[ ] [ ]
[ ]     [ ]
[ ] [ ]
[ ]     [ ]
[ ]     [ ]

The letter R.

Yeah, but it'd still look ugly. The best way to do it IS in fact, to write the letters pixel by pixel.

you might like to try visitor tt2 : http://www.creamundo.com/index.php?letra=v&fuente=Visitor+TT2+BRK+TTF&lang=en
that's what they use in userbars (usually). Very smallsize-friendly, and looks neat especially with a border
