Stealth is my favorite game play style. But not the kind of you mentioned here. My stealth type is a way, to get to the base unseen, capture the flag, and escape the same way, leaving enemy no chance to spot and inform other teammates about my position. :)

Err.. Everyone does that.

What you said is like saying "My way to play CTF is to get the flag and return it to our base". :P

Yes thats what everyone does. But you did not understand my way. It is not about simply shooting you way through enemies. Its all about getting to the base unseen, without getting involved into fight, capturing the flag and getting the same way back to base. And not many do that at least on the server I play. In regard to enemy, a perfect perform of this would be: you spawn, appear at enemy base, capture the flag and appear at your base --> enemy doesn't spot you on the way to their base, and doesn't know the way you are escaping and the only chance to kill you for them is to wait at your base.  :P

....how...

Good combo of back flips, combined triple jumps, reloaded spas shooting and sometimes grenades.  ;)

In clanwars/gathers there is no way to be "stealth". In publics you can remain behind one bush for the whole round and no one even knows you are there. Or then go alt. way to the enemy base, hardly I see any enemies when I go low on Laos etc.

I love using stealth. It's hard to incorporate it into any game mode except for TW for me though. The way I'm stealthy is to get as close as I can to the enemy base, hide perfectly behind a box until the newly spawned enemies walk by, then I go for the flag with no contact with the enemy. After that I head back to base, killing out most of the enemies I let by if my teammates didn't already take care of them.

Despite that, I still am not feeling this guide.

Stealth is only good for if you wanna be cool and have a little bit of fun, and suck.. suck hard.. i do it sometimes when im bored and i dont feel like winning so i just hop in a bush behind someone and chop him with a knife, and just keep doing it...but yeah thats really all it can be good for.

So you dress in all green, then a winter set map comes along or a desert(Sp?) Map comes along and suddenly you can't camp as well because, now everyone can see you.
Lol, internets.

Actually now and then it's a good tactic to hide behind sceneries or especially colliders. After having your enemies let pass by you can sneak into their base and steal the flag without being noticed and their players hopefully being killed in your base by your clanmates. Hiding as close as possible to their base is important, otherwise you wont have  the time before they spawn. Also normally doesn't work if they didnt spawn all at the same time. Pak once totally confused us and won with that tactic by stealing 3 flags, even though we were catious after the first one. Also weren't able to let one player defend as they already were leading.
In my opinion it's fine to sneak on some maps, for example on B2b or Laos, just because it works. One can also fly over the heads of the enemy with M79 boosts or simple by flying as close to the ceiling on Laos over the big rock before the blue base, while their players run mid. Also a cool map to sneak is Voland, where you can confuse the enemy by going different ways all the time (of course only if it is safe that your flag wont be stolen). I sometimes even pay attention on not using jet pack, when I'm sure I'm in sound range of enemies and want to sneak.

I think it's actually a cool idea, it's not easy but that doesn't mean it's not worth learning.

There's more ways to play then just aggressive all the time, I actually hate that.

The word *Sniper* or *snipe* means to shoot from a concealed location. Marine Snipers know how to blend in, Aim, use surroundings etc. Otherwise you're a marksmen if you just aim good and run out in the open.

Being a serious sniper is way different then just picking up an auto and spraying.

What commando bunny said is perfect for CTF, you can sneak up on the EFC, wait for the rest of the group to go, snipe and return your flag.

DM isn't a place for snipers. Snipers are meant to pick people off while they're busy with others...

Well, stealth would be good in realistic survival INF matches when you are on Alpha team, however Soldat isn't the game where you sneak behind your enemy and stab him with a knife. Attacking your enemy while running straight to him and shooting the hell into his face is the way you play Soldat.
Good luck finding an R/S Inf server.

Stealth is fun. I was once on a 1 on 1 DM on a public and I had this guy in green clothes and black hair. It was a big map and had alot of bushes and I took the sniper.

Great time it was.

Since there were more than enough bushes, I had alot of places to hide. The only guy against had no goddamn clue where I was. I hid myself in a random bush and shot him, then changed the bush and killed him from there while he respawned and came at the bush I was in before.
He never knew where I might be next.

I did this for 10 kills until he left. That is real stealth.

Even when I'm rushing with the Minimi, I still wear the camouflage that I've been wearing for 3 years or more. I go for olive, but more on the green-grey side of the palette, as I sometimes see some people wearing the more yellow-ish olive colours that are relatively easy to spot. The great thing about camo is that you can ambush people when they think they are far from camper-country, where people will least expect you. Places like medium-length grass is good, as it's bad enough to make a normal non-camo camper to be easily spotted, but just good enough to distort the shape of your Soldat.

It's great when you see them try to be the anti-camper, thinking they have you sorted out, they think they know where you're hiding; they shoot at those 100% coverage bushes where the other campers hide, but then I'm actually right under their feet- about to trip them up with a 'rett bullet to the foot. Seeing their Soldat get shot by an 'invisible bullet', they'll either presume that I'm hiding somewhere else and the bullet was lagged as most campers don't/can't hide in that kind of grass, or they'll come back shooting at the grass, which I by that time I might either use the grass as bait by relocating to a site overlooking it, or I'll stay where I am and hope to god that they are only guessing when they do anti-camper spray.

Though nowadays I either rush or ambush with the Minimi instead of camp with the Barrett, as I <3 my Minimi  [pigtail]

Another tip: Try to limit the use of your scope, as your opponent will hear the sound it makes...unless they are too busy trying to pwn with Rammstein etc blasting out their speakers instead of actually listening to the game.
