Crysis MOD 1.0

This is my first mod. I hope you'll like it :)

What this mod has changed:
Gostek-gfx
Interface-gfx (2 registered, 2 un registered intefaces. Thanks str1ker)
Sfx (almost all sounds have been changed)
Sparks-gfx (fully remade explosions)
Powerups (3 type of looks)
Weapons-gfx (fully remade)
Made for version: 1.4.2


*11/01-08 Weapons.ini added*
*10/01-08 Fixed two interfaces*

Very nice. I like it. The interfaces are much better from time I saw them first time. But still the shotgun is too simple and kind of plain, and the ruger replacement is somewhat like that. Otherwise Its a great mod for me. Gosteks are pretty nice too, but I guess the aim-cursor is kind of bad for real aiming. (Maybe Im wrong - Its just my opinion.) The snow is cute. ^^.


Oh, and one more thing, pretty much people were working on this as I just recognised.  :o

Tell me what you think of the sounds. I worked hard on them :)

Dairy the cursor type is the default one from crysis. But I also added several cursors in an "extras" folderi in the interface-gfx folders just like with the powerups.

I like a lot those sounds, specially the SCAR one :]
Its strange because you made those awesome explosions and the fire and what about the bullets ? :(
Now i like the Gauss, ingame is soooo good and the sounds are nice.

I belive that you worked a lot on the sfx.

Just that... maybe make them more big... like the soldat ones but a new style... you undestand what i mean?

I prefer the 1px too but with glow/gaussian blur (smoother look, looks like flies fast).

I noticed that my interfaces hadn't gotten some updates and therefor had old images. It has been fixed now. I also rared the mod now and the size is ~17 MB.

I also added some previews of the interfaces and the crosshairs in case someone can't bother change to see how they look like.

I love the graphics, but sounds are the only thing that really makes me play a mod. So before I download and reinstall soldat just for this, tell me :P

This is a very nice mod. The sounds are great, very crisp. Pickups are cool. Explosions look nice. The weapon menu looks good but I'll be honest.. I don't think the glowing blue outlines suit the weapons... it just makes them seem darker and more blocky.

What I think is a shame is the lack of a weapons config... (ammunition counts, firing rate, reload speed etc) some of the reload sounds are too long for normal soldat weapon configs because even when you've stopped reloading you can still hear the reloading sound for several seconds thereafter..

I highly recommend making a weapons ini.

YES all the gun sounds are from the game and other sounds like for the pickups("maximum armor"(vest), "Maximum Strength"(berserker), "Cloak engaged"(pred)).


I added the glow because my attempts to make a good outline failed. So a glow was the best option IMO.

Ah yeah Mangled*. They're a little longer sometimes but when i recorded them I didn't have the exact numbers of the reloads(btw all the reload sounds are composed by me. The reload sounds were split to 4-6 sound files and I had to make the reload whole myself). I will see if I can get a weapons.ini.
