The M79 is actually thought to be an overpowered and overused weapon by several people here. It's very annoying in small maps, but go to Shau or ctf_Run and then you'll see if it's still a raping machine.

Zoom should be better? It's a damn grenade launcher, not a sniper rifle.

You know, it has to load when you spawn, it has a 3 second reload. Also has a short range, slow speed.

m79 is overused on NA publics, but so what. If they wanna use a weapon, let them do it. Its there for something. Its not even overpowered.

The M79 is pretty useless. I usually don't mind excessive numbers of people trying to kill me with it, because I usually Ruger them to death from long range. I actually find the 79 one of the hardest weapons to use.

Doh. Just the fact that noobs on publics can't use it (they take m79 cause its 1hit) doesn't mean that it's useless.
