Tuck and roll

I was thinking about that when I was playing in a realistic jetless duckhunt map. It would be cool to have a feature that when your falling (and you don't have jets to slow you down) just before you hit the ground you press crouch botton and the soldier rolls on the ground and doesn't get hurt or gets less damage. And if you are very far up you are still you you do the "move" your still gonna die or get a lot of damage.

so...what do you think?

How about TW and climb?
They're not official gamemodes.
And non official gamemodes don't get alot of support for suggestions that only affect them, unfortunately.

^ What I don't think you're getting is that this wouldn't just affect unofficial gamemodes. It would affect all of them. Last I checked rolling doesn't do anything on realistic, and being able to jump, roll, and start running again without losing all your speed would be a great addition.

Using a roll correctly on a slope surface already reduces fall damage.

sometimes your grenades will launch the opponent into the air, and even if you dont get the kill, they selfkill, which is just as good for the team effort.




this would ruin it.

Like i said rolling reduces damage taken by falls, if you do it correctly, if you're still taking damage by rolling you're not doing it right.

You can roll without losing speed and you can roll to avoid getting hurt.
What is it exactly that you want?

You can only retain your speed if you do it off of a ledge and recover from the roll before you hit the ground. You should be able to jump forward, roll, and not come to a complete stop afterwards.

hmm, i've rolled on normal ground and you don't fully stop most of the time, but you don't speed up either.

Nope, you can do roll only after hit polygon, but when you hit it - you lose hp ;)
