Clusters.

Yes. Clusters.

Few players use them to completely detonerate the othe players.

When the other player is encolsed in a tight environment, just pop is grenade to the celing, and the enemy will be gone.

Experiment around with the clusters with the bonus mode of 5 on your comp, and see how good it gets. :P

To learn how to use the clusters more effectively(most people just throw them like babies).

I normally just throw them beneath the enemies which results in massive carnage.

Clusters are a piece of crap. They don't fucking detonate on impact with a player, which makes them worse than normal nades. nice bonus.

I always just land them right below their feet, like bd said. Insta-kill most of the time. It is a pity that they seem a bit pathetic otherwise.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

So basically the only time they're useful is in a case where the normal nade can do the exact same thing.

Clusters are pretty hard to use on downhills, since usually they'll bounce over your target. Best is when you're lobbing uphill -- clusters will all explode in a nice neat area and usually whichever poor sap gets clustered will go flying off at warp 9.

i've experimented on clusters and just like bd said.....throw the clusters under ur feet then....ur sure dead but too much carnage :P

I don't know what the fuck you're about. They used to go up when hitting a player, but it was taken out. And they didn't kill you.

Used on like, 1.2.1?.

Why would you want them to detonate upwards(Or on impact... it would randomize the spread too much)... Its more useful to just throw them to the roof or to the ground.

You know, tbh I like normal grenades alot more than clusters :)
I mean clusters aren't too cool, you usually end up pwning you're self o.O

So, why aren't they being balanced, like the other weapons?

I think they should definately be overpowered rather than underpowered, as they ARE power-ups


Clusters suck right now; the only circumstance that they are lethal is when you throw them directly at the targets feet on a level surface. When They are on the ground. If they are in the air, which they usually are, clusters are rendered completely useless.

you also may only have 3 clusters max. that's too few in my opinion.

Again, power-ups are supposed to be over-powered, to a certain extend.

Right now, it's like, 'Damn, there's no grenade kits around me. Sigh... I guess I'll have to take these clusters as a substitude...'

That's how stupid clusters are right now. 3 nades is fair, but what it does is way too limited. (looking back at the good old days when clusters explode upon contact

I think that clusters succeed at being annoying as hell to whoever you hit them with. Granted, a spray might not kill them, but it'll disctract them for about a second or so, giving you a chance for the kill. At least, that's my take on it.
