*viggoloniggolo on a rampage- making beams*
« on: January 23, 2008, 04:06:59 pm »
Sorry for the misleading topic title, but this here actually portrays some support beams made in polyworks. I'll make more beams later so you can just get inspired or just plain old complain like little girls about Ken and Barbie not having genitalia.

SCROLL DOWN

Beam number one - the wannabe beam. You probably have seen it in the majority of maps.

Beam number two- the not so wannabe beam with ornamentation. It is not as common as the first one.

Beam number 3- the major wtf.

Beam4- snake

Beam5- fatass

Beam6- twister

Beam7- hollow

Beam8- chubby

Arc

Hollow arc

Spine arc

Lockdown arc

Wave ornament arc

Unbound aec

half-caged arc

arseknot arc- would be hard as heck to make those as a beginner, not kidding

pointy annoying arc

maze hollow ornament arc

no comments

cage arc

spike arc- difficult to make for beginners

industrial arc

I will keep on updating the main post up there, so stay tuned.
I'm glad someone actually uses supports in maps intentionally, not out of need to enclose some open space. I hope you won't get a heart attack looking at some of the supports.

Damn, those are good.  Makes me feel like a pathetic mapper when a I look a this.  You need to use these in an upcoming map.  Its too good to pass up.

It'd be nice if you uploaded prefabs of em.

definitely using these in my next map. How do you want to be credited? (in the map comment or just in post?)

No Comments... I'm not sure if I want to ask what drove you to make that one.

don't ask.

credit me in the post if you are using those for some minor things, but if you are making a map completely out of supports then you should put it in the map comment.

Mayb-o I will-o upload-o prefab-os

I use simpler supports in my maps since (inf_cleaver) is too much of a huge-ass map.
