PROJECT CHANOLOGY
« on: January 28, 2008, 10:26:56 am »
The Church of Scientology. It is a criminal organization that uses threats, lies, and lawsuits against its critics. It uses methods of hypnosis to alter the psychological states of its members, charging hundreds of thousands of dollars in "donation fees" to go to advance in level from OT I to OT VIII.

This Church has resulted in dozens of deaths, ruined hundreds of lives, and brainwashed thousands of people.

An internet group called Anonymous is attempting to combat the CoS. So far they have caused a great deal of ire to the CoS, garnering media attention to its crimes as well.

Your "Fair Game" link brought me to a page about a movie. Were you talking about this?:

Not forcing what I believe on others.

Yes. Scientology is quite literally a joke. Although I find its belief system no more ridiculous than that of any other theistic, man made religion.

It's a joke with a lot of money in it - take it as a scam if you will.

Europe is left out of the protests. Good luck to you!

Holy shit. Sounds just like Hubologism from Fallout 2. Actually, undoubtedly Hubologism is a parody of Scientology. Good thing these crazies don't have combat shotguns.

Long live Nazi-Communism!

I live a couple blocks from the Centre of Scientology :(, I will most likely end up going or at least pass by to see what people from 4chan look like lol.

Protesting isn't forcing anything. We're not, say, taking in desperate people who need help, then making them pay for classes to learn about why Scientology is bad, forcing them to do so by eliminating all other forms of support, if they have any, and by forcing them to give confessions, which we then record and keep on hand in the event they ever leave.

Sure their beliefs are silly. But so what? There are people who believe they're really Jedi. But we're not going after them, because they don't extort money from thousands of people and ruin their lives if they try to leave their religion.

It's a joke with a lot of money in it - take it as a scam if you will.

Thanks. Zoom out on that map a bit, though- there's a ton in Europe, and some in Australia.

That's almost as absurd as an omnipotent all powerful being judging our lives to determine what happens to us after we die.  Did I mention, he has a son who is also...himself? ;)

Yea right by the downtown centre on Yonge Street.

I usually see them outside handing out fliers or inviting you in for the free stress test.  In the stress test you hold these 2 metal things hooked up to a machine.  Then they try to sell you stuff.

Check the new 'act' page, guys. Join on using anonymous emails/screen names and check to see if there's anything organized in your local area yet. I know there's a big one planned for Clearwater.

That made me laugh so much :)

... so do Scientologists go to Sci Fi conventions?... I mean it's basically the same crap that they believe in right?

Is it not only the higher levels up in Scientology that know of xenu? :P
