My bird is about to die......

Well about 5mins ago my bird flew into the window very fast and had his neck bend all the way back to half his length. i picked him up and held him for awile and then he started to perk up a little so i put him in his cage. he might live and im hoping for the best.

Why don't you put him out of his missery? I mean, lying there in pain isn't exactly a prefferable way to die.

The dove can bend it's neck under it's wing, much to the enjoyment of street magician. Your bird may well possess similar neck flexibility.

Eh, I once saw a bird smash into a window, then drop at least two or three floors. Its neck looked pretty bad but after just a few minutes it just looked around and flew away.

Also a bird once got stuck in an old artillery shell filled with umbrellas. It had to be there a day or two at least. Once I freed it, it just flew away.

well its a $500 black capped conure. i don't think we would euthanize him immediately. he got our of his bird house and is now eating. he isn't talking much, but i bet he has a major headache. i guess tomarrow ill know for sure if he is going to live.

Overcharge? I don't know, depends on the vet. For example, the vet I see doesn't charge much for medicine. However operations are really expensive.

Lul, If you did that all the time, it would be like this.

"Pet owner; Oh well, my pet got shot, hes just injured, ill just sit it out and see what happens"

If your pet is like bad, take it too a vet as a precaution.

The breed of my dogs where prone to eye problems. They ran into things a lot, you can't help but laugh then go comfort them. I think if I had a bid that ran into a window I would fall out of my chair before I go over and pick him/her up.
