You misunderstand me; I'm not advocating the use of .50's+ on human beings in any way. I don't advocate the use of any size of round on human beings. I have learned a lot about how such rounds are used, and their effects.
I understand, But the fact that such an excuse to use such a powerful weapon doesn't make an ounce of sense.
I can understand if the person(s) are behind cover, but i see no reason for guns like this to be used for other things. Just like you wouldn't use a cheaters dice in a game of poker.

Even in war there is sportsmanship.

That argument gets harder to make as opponents use less honor. I wish such a principle was still true.

That's true, It does swing both ways.
But still, There's no glory in war, And there's even less when these weapons are used on Personal just because they've got equipment.
No, I'm not Attacking the weapon it's self, I'm just questioning the way it is used.
The gun doesn't kill the person, The person kills the person.

Gelatin tests would be far more relevant than armor tests. A .50 would no doubt blow a hole through someone's head, but that's a far cry from taking the whole thing off.
Mythbusters!

As for the .50 Barret being banned, Geneva Convention states that .50 cal snipers are allowed, only .50 cal Machineguns can't be used on people. But since the US never signed on with Geneva convention, doesn't matter to them what laws they follow and what laws they dont. Same thing as Canada (and other Geneva convention nations) isn't allowed to use AP mines, so what my buddy in the Canadian Military said they do to get around that is they stack AT mines so that the detonator of the first one is weighed down enough that a 200lb soldier could set it off.

Chlorine gas is a heavy gas that sinks into trenches, The Chlorine rips apart cells in the lungs

Mustard gas causes Really bad blisters on the skin and is very deadly

that's used in holocaust right?

When Chlorine Gas reacts with water, it produces Hydrochloric acid- Stomach acid. Basically, when mustard gas hit troops, wherever it hit wet parts (I.E, Lungs, Face, Mouth, Eyes) it would burn through because it becomes an acid.

Tehsnipah, different gases were used in Holocaust, but perhaps the worst of them all, was when they germans would run the tailpipe from an idling engine into a room filled with prisoners. The CO would slowly fill the room and choke and eventually kill the prisoners. A slow, agonizing death that no one deserves.

I don't remember the exact gas used, but I think it was carbon monoxide, and something with Z and B.

LAW's are Light anti-tank weapons, and during the invasion of Iraq I would assume a few were used against outdated Iraqi tanks, but most were either taken out by M1's or aircraft.

Only the canadian army because they are too cheap to buy a weapon in service after 1970

Yes, that's us. Holding out in Afghanistan (for the most part) pretty well (again, for the most part) with nothing but Spit wads and peashooters.

You could probably conquer Afghanistan with a baguette and a roll of duct tape.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

Baguette to keep the french busy, and a roll of duct tape to keep the terrorists busy. Win win situation.
