Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted but me and my debate partner have a competition coming up, the topic is; "Is Russia a threat to U.S. interests?

I know you guys are a well educated bunch (BAH HAHAHA!) so I was wondering if you have any ideas for debate topics, we need to be able to do both pro and con on it.

Russia discovered oil in Siberia. They are making tons and tons of money now, rebuilding their military and cooperating with China's military (China is already laying "hypothetical" plans for attacking the US, mostly using satellite and electronic warfare at the outset.

US has a multi-trillion dollar deficit, preparing desperately for a depression, and its military is held up in Iraq.

We're fecked if WWIII rolls around.

Stupid Australia, Man up, Bunch of pussies that we are, We never stand up to anyone...
I mean, What, If we don't fight in a war, the Us won't invades us right... Especially with this depression, I don't know if you guys could afford to bother with getting us to help you by means like this.

I'd pay more attention to the actual numbers than any given news program.  And what the heck is all that stuff about "having to help us again" and "not fighting so the US won't invade us"?
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams it is
still a beautiful world.  Strive to be happy.

I was referring more to how Australia does as it's told by america, I mean we never stood up to you about the whole helping in iraq thing, I'll admit the rest is just nonsense.
