Fire Bursts, given you probably already know, but it deaccurizes very quickly. And, it comes down to use preference, but I pack a socom in case of the long wait times.

Actually instead of bursts just click for every shot. You shoot straight for each shot.

I'll agree to this. but that's really the great thing about the minimi, isn't it? You can use it like an AK at a distance, but you can also hold the trigger down when you're up close like the mp5. lus, reloadingtime isn't all that long, so it's really quite overpowered if you ask me. Definitely one of my favorites :)

In realistic mode (TW especially) it is a killer with high rate, large clip, heavy-hitting ammo, and great accuracy, and in the right hands, is just what a team needs to win.

Click every shot, Never hold it down EVER!!
It is heaps more accurate then bursting it and you don't have to stop firing at all, because you're constantly clicking.
Other then that i suggest killing people, Then running away because of the long as reload.
Lol, internets.

The only reason you should put it out on full auto is to piss off a marksman. Portable binking is a plus, but in actual combat, stick to the controlled bursts.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

Especially since you can get more bang for you buck if you can kill more people before having to reload. Cause you're vulnerable while reloading, so it's good to try to get something accomplished while you have the chance. If you waste your whole clip spraying down one guy, the three others behind him will be itching to get you when you run out.

Minimi does have great power, and I use it quite a bit, but it's main disadvantage is the painful reload (especially in a crowded DM server) and it is inaccurate even with burst firing. The movementacc is 4, which is unusually high for an auto, but it is needed for the weapon balance.

The reload is made worse when you're used to the MP5 (Thank you Soldat Survival guide!)

Move as little as possible when using the minimi, it helps with accuracy. If you're playing ctf or inf, 1 guy with a minimi standing still can make for some brutal suppressive fire.

Although he should have some nearby cover, cause if a far off sniper starts taking potshots, standing still is asking for it... if there even is a second chance...

Yes, it's very good for keeping the enemy at bay to some extend, howver, I would never advice to move as little as posible. All to the contrary in fact. Standing still has never been a favorable strategy in soldat, and unless you're sitting high above a narrow passage, with full cover behind you, you really shouldn't do it with minimi either.

I recommend moving around from kill to kill.

Good luck!
Make sure maximum time limit is set to 1 hour. Then you can kill him. Maybe.

Its very low self-bink but high movement inaccuracy means that you can release the movement/jet keys and fire on full auto..kinda like how non-campers use the Barrett (not that that's auto, of course). I've used it for ages (see sig) and I love it. It's the gun for people who want to lay down some serious firepower but without the madness of the Minigun or the lower RPM of the AK.

The long reload can hurt, but the large magazine should see you through to a safe reloading spot. I actually reload whenever I have the opportunity, as it ensures that I  don't run out of ammo in the middle of a fight. And if someone does catch me reloading, there's always Mr.Knifey to watch my back.

Part of the Minimi's appeal to me is that it feels like my own personal weapon as relitivly few people use it. So when I see another Minimi user, I'm glad to see that it has more popularity, but then a I almsot think- "No, you can't be good at using the Minimi, as I'm the only Minimier in the village!"

A: Do you get blindly defensive over every little thing IRL too, or are you just taking advantage of internet anonymity? Either way, LIGHTEN THE FECK UP.

B: Actually, the bink on the minimi is incredibly low compared to other autos. You can auto fire for a decent amount of time before the bink sets in. It's the movementacc you need to worry about.

Actually people can fire off just as many rounds as if you held down the trigger. Don't think because you can't click but 8 times an hour that everyone else is limited to that as well.

don't click for every shot, thats a load of rubbish. you can fire as accurately as the ak even when holding the button down it.. just takes practice.
