Well no matter how you look at it, it gets a rubbish aim very fast if you are moving around while having full auto.

I cant use the gun well at all, but then again I only used it for goofing around when Im bored.

i only use minimi on dm, since there are so many people. i usually hide or camoflouge and reload

don't click for every shot, thats a load of rubbish. you can fire as accurately as the ak even when holding the button down it.. just takes practice.

Obviously this does not apply if you're playing realisticmode, where bink is much more of an issue than in normalmode.

The long reload can hurt, but the large magazine should see you through to a safe reloading spot. I actually reload whenever I have the opportunity, as it ensures that I  don't run out of ammo in the middle of a fight. And if someone does catch me reloading, there's always Mr.Knifey to watch my back.

I agree. all in all the minimi is pretty overpowered, at least in realmode. I always use Minimi/LAW or Minimi/Socom depending on the number of opponents, M/S ebing preferred when many opponents are there. I really don't think the reloading is as much of an issue as it's set up to be. Think about it, it's like 7 seconds or something, yeah? That's not a long time if you're taking refuge, especially not with a secondary to back you up.

Part of the Minimi's appeal to me is that it feels like my own personal weapon as relitivly few people use it. So when I see another Minimi user, I'm glad to see that it has more popularity, but then a I almsot think- "No, you can't be good at using the Minimi, as I'm the only Minimier in the village!"

Again, I agree. As I allready said, in my eyes, the minimi is quite overpowered, but it doesn't really matter since most people seem to smite it 'cause of the reload time. Ergo, you don't see it much. Also, seing as there are a lot of different styles with which to use it, it has this originality to it every time you see it, I think.
It's rep really doesn't do it justice.

The FN is a great long range HMG (heavy ma.... ). It can out aim the AK and is near the styer aug. If you can move fast this is the gun for you in INF and CTF (if room is low to mid full). It is also good in most every other room as long as it's not burbling over with vets.  Once your gun has bit the enemy you may almost every time finish him off... ESPECIALY in open air.

On Realistic (Especially TTW) Clicking every shot is amazing cause your bink doesnt go up and it always hits the same spot. If you can click fast, you can wast 3-4 enemies in a row in realistic mode.

I disagree. Many respectable DMers and Even CTFers and so on use the Minimi. Those people who consider it "Lame" and overpowered are also the same people who run around with a law and m79 and complaining about anything they deem "complainable".

The other day I saw someone being called a steyernoob because he couragiously flew straight into the enemys base and owned three of their guys. People will apparently rant about any weapon that kills them.

B4 you jump on the bandwagon, minimi is widely acknowledged to be OVERPOWERED. Thats why if your gonna gt ranting then minimi wil probably be about second in line after M79. Weapon hypocracy exists in pubs with newbs, crap players etc. Also i play in gathers with better players than your average pub and minimi is rarely if occasionally used when i play at least.

Those who rant about every weapon are usually from pubs, you will find much less in gathers or among decent players.

I've been making a name for myself (Somewhat) on INF Pubs with the ruger, but when I get the chance to, I love minimi'ing on TTW servers.

I see, so you're no common player. Well, it makes little difference. I don't see the minimi being ranted about at all, to be honest, at least not compared to some of the other weapons. And that's in the more respectable circles as well. of course I play realistic only, and these things may be different in realmode from normalmode, but from what I've seen the minimi is generally accepted.

Also, who cares what everyone else thinks? If you're good with a weapon, then that's all that matters. Some weapons might be easier to exploit than others, but so what? It's what the game is about. In my eyes, as long as you play fairly, you can use the weapos as you want.

Actually instead of bursts just click for every shot. You shoot straight for each shot.

Make sure maximum time limit is set to 1 hour. Then you can kill him. Maybe.

Actually people can fire off just as many rounds as if you held down the trigger. Don't think because you can't click but 8 times an hour that everyone else is limited to that as well.

I dont have a problem, jus saying it how it is. Personally if you get owned by any weapon constantly, then it simply means your not good enough. And my posts have been referring to normal mode anyways.

Minimi is devastating in Abel. If a Sniper camps the tunnel, it cna take one minimier with 1 or 2 backup ppl to fend off the top route. Ive seen it done many times, and NO ONE got past.

Exactly. And the people who do compain about it are, more often than not, M79'ers that got a shock when their M79 didn't work so well at long range against my Minimi when I keep out of their kamikaze range, or Barretters that get binked. It's the same old story- they don't complain about it because it has somekind of fundamental unfair advantage, but rather because I kept beating them with it. And on the few times that they do give a reason for it being overpowered, they just point at the 50-round magazine as if I'm carring AK/Ruger bullets in there.

yeah, but it's like that with all the weaponrants. Mostly anyway.. It's kinda funny, actually. People are always pissed about the weaponbalance when a version comes out, and for as long as they live they're complain about it. Then when a new version is released they are even more unsatisfied about it.
