Soldat will never be coded for a Mac.  I'm not sure for the reason, but MM did state somewhere he personally hates Macs.

You can still play Soldat on a Mac by using an emulator.  You can use Google to find one.

You can use Crossover, but if anything goes to crap on the mac, there will be almost no one in the soldat community to help you. We're all windows and linux dorks.

how about the parallels software?[
If that supports the stuff that Soldat requires such as Directx, then probably. I doubt it does though, try it and find out.

I'm pretty sure the new Intel based macs let you dual-boot to Windows. If that's the case, just boot to Windows to play Soldat.

Mac, isn't designed for games. Its meant for buisnesses and/or professionals.

To all the ppl who hate mac:
Mac doesn't suck it just has a different (better) style.
plus the operating system is faster and Mac makes faster computers, than windows.
I don't know about linux, never used it.
Oh and just in case you haven't noticed:
VISTA SUCKS!!!!

How?

Mac doesn't suck it just has a different (better) style.

That's opinion; it can't be proved that it is or isn't better.

plus the operating system is faster and Mac makes faster computers, than windows.

At least in the case of the Power Mac G5, that claim was shot down by the Advertising Standards Authority.

Oh and just in case you haven't noticed:
VISTA SUCKS!!!!

Other than the rumoured bugs that are expected with a new OS, I've seen that it's very good. Though it does take up more processing power than XP.

My brother has Vista and I don't think he's been attacked by the New OS Bugs. Though I havn't really talked about that with him much.

I'm running soldat on Mac OS X leopard, using vmware fusion. The movement of the players, explosions are just as sharp as it is on windows but there are some problems unfortunately. The mouse 'jumps' along a grid, and the screen fonts (during gameplay) are kind of messed up. If a Soldat developer sees this post, does this bugs occur on any windows machines? (I have GMA 950 Graphics card). There is a game compatibility list for vmware if anyone is interested.

Kinda off topic... but helpful information.. maybe. (I'm a mac owner also too, and have commented on the superiority of Macs several times, but alas, everyone including major game developers hate Macs and despite being just as fast as Win machines, gaming on the Mac platform is laughable).

There is a Windows clone in developement that supposedly can run as an OS on any machine including Macs. Intel macs definitely, but also it's supposed to be able to run x86 architecture on PowerPC's which is the processor of old macs - G4's, G5's. Don't ask me how. That's all I know. Just in case you really really want to run Soldat smoothly on a Mac, if the emulators or Parallels or other setups don't work to run Soldat smoothly, this clone may be the ticket.... but you really gotta be desparate. I will be testing it later on my little G4 iBook... if it truly can run on PowerPC, since I have both a Windows gaming rig and am getting a new Mac for my studio.

Anyway, it's called ReactOS. Here is a link:  http://www.reactos.org/en/index.html

P.S. As I said... it's a clone for windows, so anyone who has a shitty windows setup on their PC might also want to take a look. Supposedly, when it's done, it's supposed to run more efficient and faster than the real Windows OS's.
