I haven't seen any yet, but I guess it's expected of the buggers to start trying once the updates stop.

1.) The dlls not always need to be updated necessarily to detect new stuff.

2.) I try my best, but I can't guarantee that all private hacks (with BE bypasses) are detected.

3.) Please keep in mind that I am doing this in my free time. I am not paid to support Soldat, so please be content with what you have.

I'm just glad that sable made BE in the first place, updated or not. I haven't seen a single hacker since it was added, but in 1.3.1 They were everywhere.

Yes yes. I didn't mean anything bad about my previous comment(just pointing out now that hackers seem to appear). I appreciate all the work you've put into BE to let us play without any baddies.

I've never seen it do its job.  It always used to kick innocent players.  Now it seems to be fixed and kick/ban the right people.  Despite it having to slow down games and cause other problems, its still good to have it.

Soldat used to be a hacker's paradise. Now the odd tard that gets through is quickly kicked by other players or admin.

That is your perception. Nothing really changed, maybe there are also less people around applying an old BE update when they shouldn't?
And you are the first one in a while to say it slows down the game. Actually it shouldn't. If it causes problems for you, please report them.

And yes, I am tired of unfounded flaming - I am not saying you are flaming here though.

On a side note, if you really want to get rid of private hacks, just buy them and send me. If you feel the need to support BE at any time...

The whole BE Disconnect vs. Soldat disconnect is probably what makes BE "look bad" (not that I care, BE rocks imo). Just remember "BE: client not responding" is most likely the user d/c without notifying the server (The good old "<player> has disconnected" that still pop ups every now and then).

Keep it up $able.

mar77a, I know what you mean, but the disconnect notification is fine (even without the rare disconnect message).
Actually "Client not responding" can only happen if the game crashed.

I completely support BattlEye $able and have nothing against it.  I'm was just making a statement that even though it has its share of problems, it is still good to have it around.

I don't think BattlEye has all the blame for slowing down Soldat, FliesLikeABrick and others did state that there may be a possibility that a bug exists and causes Soldat to slow down in certain situations.  This problem had became so severe, I could barely run 1.4, I instead played 1.2.1.  Recently it seems to have been fixed and I'm able to play the current version with minimal problems.

I've never run into a framerate problem with soldat except for when I hit a lava poly, in which case I see every 10 frames and have to self kill to end it.

And about BE causing problems, name one anti-cheat software that has never caused anyone any trouble. They all have their flaws, but I think so far BE has done better than most AC engines for blocking out the Socially depraved kiddies that feel the need to hack.

The lava-polygon is a confirmed bug and I'm hoping it'll be fixed.  Many have complained it causes heavy lagging in servers and affects everyone.

PunkBuster is fairly stable, never has caused me a problem.  But its just popular, and it doesn't mean its the best anti-cheat solution.  Most of the problems with BattlEye are mainly caused because my system is equivalent to the minimal requirements for Soldat to run.  I've ran Soldat on newer machines with no problems.

Punkbuster has the occasional client error, and it is a twat of a thing if your CVARs are out of whack on quake-engine games.

I can't wait for a update.. Theres been a new hacking "clan" around aussie servers, Disconecting servers, impersinating admins.. And now its got to the point if GA gameops ban them, they will d/c GA servers.

Good luck on improving BE.
