I think I would be a good idea to have a search function in the game.

For example: You make friends with someone in the game and you think you and him make a good team. So you want to find him again but you cant...

So I think there should be a player search function or something like that...
Like a friends list...

Xfire just tracks the username of the person Xfire and tracks what game XOR Server they are on. Even name changes cant stop it

X-Fire has a login system, Soldat doesn't. There's no practical way of keeping track of people who change names (and IPs) without some form of user account system, which a game so simple as Soldat doesn't need.

The only problem is if they've got a Dynamic IP address.
That's a better way to do it in my opinion, Because the ip address won't be changed as much.

This will not be added. As said above, the variety of playernames multiplied by the many times people change it, will make such a function pretty useless. Besides, if the person you you wanna see again is counting continuing his soldat carreer, there's a pretty good chance he has MSn, xfire or something like that, you know?

It's a good idea and all, it just doesn't suit this game so well. Sorry, it's too messy.

Mines dynamic. Bans never last more than a week for me. Even if they're permbans.

Irc pwned your response. Just ask him to join the same channel as you.

And xfire is good too. But IRC is better IMO.
